Just a word of warning: on it's own, the Signature Series Dean Ambrose that was just recently released is quite possibly the worst WWE figure Mattel has put out. Only Basic Series 2 Jack Swagger comes to mind of more terrible figures. I don't have pics, but Dean looks like Rey Mysterio compared to a Triple H figure even though they're supposed to be the same height. Unless mine was a factory error figure (or if they all are), then i'd suggest waiting for the next Dean. Though I will say, i've swapped the legs from the first Luke Harper figure onto the Ambrose and it actually looks pretty good. Also, I honestly don't think the head sculpt is too bad. Maybe it's just up close that it looks off. But yeah, if you have that Harper (i wouldn't suggest using the newer Harper as his pant mold is bulkier), then definitely make the swap. Otherwise, it's a piece of crap and it's size is truly ridiculous.

This one's headscan appears to be the same as the previous on in the battlepack with Jake and elite 31, but with re-sculpted hair.
That being said, it was in fact a good scan but paint was critical. The battlepack looked like dookie yet elite 31 is my favorite Ambrose.

I agree I think this figure is definitely up there as one the worst.The Head itself looks so small on the body.Everything about this figure is a mess.Hopefully a much better one comes out sooner.

It's definitely one of the worst. I want to add it to my full Ambrose collection but I hate how short he is. Usually I don't complain about stuff like that, but come on, Ambrose is not that short!

Well i'm probably the ONLY one that thinks the face scan is decent, however the body sucks! It's Hunico re-painted!
So I put the head on a custom elite, and I'm selling the SS Dean Ambrose with a battle pack with Seth head on Craigslist.

The Body is one of the worsts, But the Head is Pretty Good and looks better with elite 32 codys Jacket and elite 31 ambroses body

From the pics I've felt this was easily one of Mattel's worst efforts... but it's the first post Shield Ambrose so I had to buy it. Curious to see how I like it when it arrives this week.

Somebody on FB said basics and Elites aren't meant to be scaled together because Ultimate Warrior isnt the same height either. Is this true?

Mattel said since day one elites, basics and FlexForce shared the same scale. And my basic and Elite Warriors are all basically the same scale. Besides this Ambrose the only foul ups I have seen is Macho Man, because they always give his basics the wrong lower legs. |
