Man Mayweather is trying so damn hard to get out of this fight it's ridiculous. how so? Backing out of this fight would crush any rep he has as a boxer He's nitpicking every little detail about Pacquiao right down to the wrist tape he's using trying to make him change it or he won't fight. It's ridiculous.

C'mon Pac-man!! I'm staying up all night (it's already nearly 4am here, lol). I just hope it's a decent fight...

Christian Bale and Ben Affleck are both at the fight. They should've had a "Bat off". Batman vs Batman would have been much more entertaining then the undercard

Handwritten eyewitness testimony from Mayweather's 10-year-old (at the time) son about one of the many times he battered Josie Harris.

I'm quite glad that I did not pay for that fight. I'm also not sure how Mayweather won.

Fight went as expected. Mayweather is just too good defensively. Pac couldn't afford to throw less punches and he did. I didn't give Manny much of a chance. You can say he had a Puncher's chance but Mayweather is bigger and just as strong at this point in their careers.
Sucks, I respect Mayweather as a Boxer, he is an all time great, but can't respect basically a serial woman abuser.

Enjoyed the fight. Went as I expected it but this really shows why Boxing is a dying sport (if not already dead since we got the last "big fight") if they fought in a ring with no ropes, Mayweather would be somewhere in Tempe right now. Everyone can say how great he is defensively but 80-85 percent of his moves were steps backwards and backing away. The way Floyd always runs his mouth I hoped he would stand in there and slug it out but he went with the jabs to keep Manny back and then when Manny made progress, Floyd would back away.

Only way I'd pay to see a Mayweather fight is if he stepped in the cage.

First 6 rounds were fun, but after that Mayweather went into full run mode. Only way anyone is going to beat him is to get lucky and catch him with a huge shot. He's probably going to retire at 50-0.

Mayweather didn't run away with that at all. Pac wasn't robbed either. He only threw double digits in 3 rounds, landing 18 jabs to Mayweather's 63. Easily done for the best in the world. Some people love bringing up dirt even though it has nothing to do with this fight. Pac had the crowd behind him and still couldn't land a thing.

Only way I'd pay to see a Mayweather fight is if he stepped in the cage. If Floyd Mayweather were an MMA fighter, he would fight just like Georges St-Pierre. Risk-averse style combined with superior speed and size. And just like GSP, casual fans would still hate him. Apparently now Manny Pacquiao's camp is claiming he suffered a shoulder injury during training camp two weeks ago. This is just sad at this point.

Really disappointing fight - I don't know whether it was because of Manny (who didn't seem to have any game plan), or whether Floyd was just too good. It never caught fire though... I imagine most people who paid $100 for that (other than die-hard Floyd Mayweather fans) would be disappointed. Mayweather will undoubtedly go down as an all-time-great - but I don't think he'll ever get the love or respect that a lot of other great fighters have... his style is just too defensive (some would say boring) and most of the time his fights are actually pretty dull to watch.

Mayweather fought his fight with defense first and punches after. Pacquiao had his moments (specifically in the 4th) and threw harder but had some trouble landing. The result should not be debated. If there is a rematch I wouldn't be surprised.

Had to be in bed for work and couldn't watch but this result does not shock me.
Sounds like a typical Mayweather fight. And Pacquiao was never going to win a decision, especially in Vegas.
The only way Mayweather loses is by getting knocked out. Nobody will get a decision against him.
And ESPN is reporting that Pacquiao fought with a tear in his shoulder.

Unless I am missing something it didn't give Manny some kind of super human strength
