Apparently he's charging $20,000 on the indies. I don't expect to see him much outside of AAA and Lucha Underground. Good for him though. Too bad he can't move like he used to.

Couple of promoters were claiming that was his price. Who knows if it's true, but yeah, not worth it. I remember TNA stars charging 3,000 in like 2007 and most places couldn't book them, at least not often. Now a days there is no way Rey is worth it for that price. Some companies could be bought for that price. The indies aren't in the greatest shape outside of the the mainstays like PWG, EVOLVE, DGUSA, CZW, PWS, etc. Even ROH is having financial issues supposedly.

Yes, he did say that was in 2007. You still get some guys who will cut deals for smaller promotions, but a lot of ex WWE guys will start high to test their value.

Some promoters are the biggest marks around and think they will pop their company by bringing in an ex-WWE, TNA, WCW, ECW, etc. employee. A guy like Rey should charge a good amount a money. But something like 5K would be more reasonable. Rey does sell an insane amount of merch and tickets thanks to his huge fanbase both with children and Hispanics but expecting indies in this day and age to charge almost what a developmental guy in the WWE makes yearly is insane especially for a guy who is past his prime like Rey. No disrespect because i love what he's done but he's not worth that for one night in 2015.

Legends charge more, but most guys will work from $200-$1000 depending on location, with travel and hotel. Ex WWE guys can net more. I've heard when the Edge/Matt Hardy thing was happening, Matt was charging 5,000.

Rey on El Rey I look forward to seeing him wrap up his career on his terms and helping out Lucha Underground build an audience at the same time.

As expected...........
if he is charging 20K per appearance the I highly doubt he will be doing any outside dates. Matt Hardy only charges $5K.

Can he even wrestle one more match without getting hurt? He's had a great career, not sure if he should still wrestle.

One bump and off to knee surgery I'm a fan of Rey , but he just doesn't need to wrestle anymore after RR 14 he should have gotten a proper send off
