Long overdue. My idea-
Cena joins the authority along with Shamus or Ryback. They wear the letter A on black and white shirts. Then Cena turns on them and starts his own faction named Anarchy with the anarachy symbol. His faction would consist of two nxt rising stars maybe Finn and Steen ala' NWO. He could go against heels and babyfaces.
What do you think. Corny and obvious or a good idea?

I think maybe in 10 years Cena might turn heel, but I don't think it will have anything to do with the Authority.
We have to wait for his kid fans today to grow out of wrestling so his heel turn can bring them back in as adults.

I think WWE has already blown the best chance for Cena to turn heel... That was last year at WM. When Bryan won the title, Cena should have come out and celebrated with him. After several minutes of cheers and hugging, Cena drops the AA on him. The crowd would have erupted. Next night on Raw he comes out and cuts a promo like his old days. Not necessarily with the rap but just that you attitude. He could have talked about how he's sick of pleasing others and it's all about him. He could even take digs at the crowd because let's face it, if Cena turns heel, he won't really be a heel. He'll be an antihero (which is much more intriguing anyway). I know I'd be watching.

They would also lose out on a ton of merch sales. They didn't blow any chance. It'd just be bad business to turn him heel.

No. A new generation of kids will begin liking WWE, liking John Cena, getting their parents to buy his merch, turning in every week etc.

They're not pulling it until they absolutely need it. It would make for riveting television. Yeah there might be a hurt in sales with kids. But there would also be an influx of new revenue streams with his heel persona. I think it will happen eventually. Maybe not right now because he's still "the guy" as he has been for the last decade. When they find a suitable successor (no it's not Bryan), that'll be a good time to do it. Have a major feud and Cena puts him over. Then Cena eventually turns face again in his twilight years and that's a wrap.
