Hey guys,
I caught the 'sneak peek' of the new Jericho DVD 'The Road Is Jericho' and while it looks really cool, I wonder if anyone picked this up...
At one point he's describing how he was about to launch himself at Bray Wyatt in the cage match they had.
He made a point to say that just before doing so, he shrugged and held out his hands in a 'what the hell' type gesture.
I remember seeing it and instantly thinking of Shawn Michaels doing a similar gesture to Triple H at Summerslam 2002 before putting Triple H through a table.
Jericho took inspiration for his dive from this but curiously said 'only I would make that connection (with Michaels).'
I understand it meant a lot to him, but c'mon - I made the connection straight away...
Anyone else? Or am I just nitpicking?
Cheers fellas

Jeff Hardy did the same thing.

Jericho is extremely unlikeable these days. Not sure I'm going to be able to sit thorough that DVD.

Jeff Hardy being a risk-taker; it makes sense, but Jericho...?
...and on the 'Signature Sounds' DVD, he said he had no idea what the lyrics were, even though you can clearly make out the words that I know he'd know; 'Judas' and 'Priest'...

Honestly?
there are SEVERAL things in Jericho's first 2 books that struck me as "funky" too......so this doesn't surprise me.

I love Jericho.
I wanted to pick up this DVD but was hoping it had more rare matches that weren't available on the Network.
Almost like Bret Hart's Dungeon Collection which were ultra rare matches.
Oh well.

You have to remember too, everything that these WWE superstars say in their DVD release interviews is half shoot/half WWE work. So you kind of just have to take it all with a grain of salt and try to figure out what is real and what is being told just for entertainment purposes alone.
As for the Jericho DVD, I got it, because I am a fan of his, and I don't mind Chris being "Chris Jericho" in the back of the limo and talking freely about things; work or shoot. I am a fan of his, so I am gonna enjoy it no matter what.
Remember those days?? Being a fan of a wrestler and just enjoying everything he does because you're a fan?? Those were simpler times.

Jericho also said he pioneered the suit wearing cynical heel. Pretty sure the Horsemen called and they said... wait for it... WOOOO!
1997-2004 Jericho is one of the best ever imo and one of my absolute favorites. Sans the HBK feud though, and to a lesser extent the Rey and Punk feuds, I've just gradually stopped liking him since his initial return in 07, which I was actually live in attendance on Raw to see oddly enough. It's a weird situation for me. I don't think I've ever liked a guy so much and then eventually ended up not caring about him at all the way I have with Jericho.
But yeah, as a diehard fan of HBK for roughly my entire life, and that SummerSlam match being one of my absolute favorite matches of all time... COM'N MAN!
The new Jericho DVD is a total pass for me anyway. I think he only has two WCW matches on there and the BR exclusives are all more recent stuff, most of which is hot garbage imo. I'm still waiting for Raven vs Jericho from HH98 to end up on Blu-ray, any day now...

I don't get why this is such a big deal. It ain't like he outright did something heinous.
I also quite enjoy his podcasts, so I don't mind how he is today vs at his "prime". He comes across as very intelligible.

A lot of people seem to forget or ignore it, but Jericho has a crazy huge ego. It's just some days he's more insufferable about it than others.

I honestly cannot stand watching Jericho on TV anymore when he shows up.
I heard that he was approached about doing something for Mania this year but that it "had to be something big and in his favor."

In addition to the truth you guys have been spewing here also take into consideration Jericho has a poor sense of remembrance too. Plenty of occurences in his books are misdated or there are places where he talks about going after the wrong title, etc.

It's 2015 and Strange Kentucky People has yet to surface anywhere on the Internet.

The editors/fact-checkers are to blame as well for not catching stuff.

Wow. Lots of Jericho hate in here and I'm not sure where it's coming from.
Jericho was 100% right when he said he wouldn't return unless WWE had plans for him with the right person. That is fair. Why come back just to do nothing?

Why come back just to do nothing?Exactly. Even if he did come back this year to work TV, they'd probably throw him in the damn Andre the Giant Battle Royal at 'Mania which is just lazy booking. I woulda booked him in the IC Title Ladder Match instead of Stardust (so him and Goldy could have their 1-on-1 rematch) and end with him winning the title for a record tenth time. Then he could do a little program as a heel with Daniel Bryan (who would be the runner-up) which would be pretty cool since they haven't had too many 1-on-1 matches.

Some folks just don't like him.....I havent seen anything in this thread I would define as Jericho hate Bash.....or anything that comes even close.

I was hoping/assuming Jericho was gonna return to face Bryan. Would have been an entertaining match.
