I started as a youngster around 01 when all kids liked WWF. Between the n64 games and Jakks TTLs I was hooked.
Then eventually I "grew out" of figures and mainly quit because of the monstrosity that is Jakks DA. Then I saw mattel got the license and their original products looked so cartoonish that I figured I was done for good.
One day I realized I found my love for wwe again and found myself playing with my old collection more and more. I had two brands. TTLs werè my raw brand and RAs were my SD brand. I eventually realized that the mattel basic figures might look good with my TTLs. So I got an edge/show 2 pack from ringside. And right there I got HOOKED. I went on to buy many more from rsc to add to my older collections "raw" brand! And was having all sorts of new enticing matches!
I then suddenly had to move to Boston from NJ and leave my figure collection Behind. I had to start from scratch. Brand new. I walked to the Walgreens down the street and bought the only figures they had. A basic Cena with purple bands and the WM20 Orton basic. From there it took off like wildfire. And here I am today with a collection that dwarfs my old one (which I did eventually recover) I got really hooked again when E12 was in stores. And I have just about every figure that they've done since that time. I'm full blown hooked.

When I was around 8 I was really into wrestling and watched religiously for the next 6 years or so! During which time I collected a lot of Jakks figures...when I say collect they were more of toys to play with back then! I must have near on 200 Jakks figs in my attic complete with a still working TitanTron and several to vs and cages.
During high school and through university I didn't have so much time for WWE, and it wasn't until WM30 I got back into it. Since then I've watched as I did when I was a kid. My first Mattel was the taker E26/27 which I purchased after seeing him loose the streak. Since the in the last year I've pronably got 100 or so all MOC, and several of the more saught after figs! As has been said before its a hit to the wallet initially but once caught up its great to only ever pay retail!

My Dad got me into wrestling and monster trucks. After work he used to bring me a wrestling figure and a monster truck hot wheel once a week. I had tons of WWF Hasbro's and WCW Galoob's. Slowly started collecting myself, had over 250 Jakk's and around 40 Hasbro's (10-15 Still In box), I sold them all for needed cash years ago. I got back into collecting around 2009, when Mattel announced they were taking over. Micro machines?!?

I, being a little older, started collecting baseball/football/basketball cards as a kid. I also got some Star Wars, GI Joe, and He-Man figures but never really collected them, i played with them all the time. Then, in the late 80's, they came out with Starting Line-Up figures. I loved those things. I still have about 1200 of them. I had a ton I opened, but my mom told me to keep some in the package if i really loved that player. I collected them until the line ended in '99 or so. I started collecting other sports figs, but they didn't really look all that good. I have always been a WWE fan since my dad took me to see Hogan, Savage, the Hart Foundation in the Tacoma Dome. It was a night of matches in the blue steel cage. I never really collected the WWE stuff until I saw the WM Shawn Michaels. It looked just like him. Then I saw online the Legends Macho Man and I have been hooked ever since. My collection has grown by leaps and bounds in the last year.

Only child, so imagination was often my best friend. Figures gave me a way to express my creativity, and cultivate artistic talent from a young age. So much of my passion for creating can be attributed to how I learned to tell a story, using these figures. Whether it was in the ring, or with the Power Rangers saving the day, or that one time the Ninja Turtles and Beetleborgs had to team up to stop the Street Sharks from eating everyone on Earth... The fact is, Mattel's WWE figures are of an exceptional quality, and I like many on this board saw the first protos when they came out, and immediately fell for em. Hahaha yessss street sharks!!!

I started at elite 20, punk got me into WWE after not watching since 2011 Exactly... I watched "pro wrestling" as a kid, both Crockett and WWF. Got out during the mid 2000's when things got boring. I missed Sheamus's WWE title runs and the Miz main eventing WM27. Was pulled back in with the "Pipe Bomb" and Bill Simmons tweeting it out plus writing an article on it. Wife got me the DM Macho Man randomly for a birthday present. Then saw the cool Legends/Flashbacks of wrestlers from when I was younger that Mattel was putting out. First figure I purchased was E19 Shawn Michaels, been collecting Mattel's line ever since.

I was just the kid who never grew out of action figures. I'm sure I played with figures once upon a time but since I can remember, I just always wanted to collect them. When Hasbro rebooted the Star Wars figures, in 94 I think, my dad and I went around to all the stores and figure hunted together. We always got two. One for me to open and another to keep moc.
I always liked to display my figures. So I got them for the sole purpose of displaying them like you were looking at toys in a museum, only you could pick them up and look at them whenever you want. I had toys I played with and destroyed, primarily GI Joes, but most of the stuff I really liked as a kid I kept in good shape and have to this day, sans a few exceptions.
In terms of WWE, my parents got me Hasbro figures for XMas in the early 90s, 92 maybe? When Jakks came out with BCA stuff I was starting to really get into wrestling and so I started picking up as much of that stuff as possible. I didn't really collect WWE much beyond the TTL stuff though. The change over to the RA style figures is where I stopped. I got a few Classic figures like Warrior, HBK, Diesel, but I wasn't interested in the line as a whole. I did have pretty much the entire run of TNA ToyBiz/Marvel figures though.
When I read online that Mattel was launching a new line, I went to Kmart on 1/1/10 out of just pure curiosity. I picked up CM Punk and that was really the beginning of what turned out to be a full blown addiction I never knew I had. Collecting Mattel WWE has led me into collecting so much other stuff too. I've gone back and bought stuff I used to have or that I always wanted and I'm just 10 times worse than I've ever been before. I don't regret it at all though.

I've always been a fan of female characters and action figures, so I follow a site called She's Fantastic that reviews female action figures from just about every line you can imagine.
Last October, I came across a review of Tamina Snuka. I didn't get the memo that wrestling figures had evolved from ridiculous looking children's toys to something that was on par with ML, DCUC, etc, so I was both surprised and impressed by what I saw. I got a loose Tamina off eBay and thought she was pretty awesome, especially at $11 shipped.
The original plan was to pick up a few divas and call it a day. Then I left the house one Friday morning in November to go hunting for divas and came across Wal-Mart's $12 sale on Elites. By the time that weekend was over, I had Brett, Shawn, Batista, the Legion of Doom, the Usos, and a WWE Network subscription. I was officially obsessed and have been ever since.

Had a massive jakks pacific collection when I was younger and stopped buying them around age 16. On Christmas 2013, my dad got me a Randy Orton figure as a joke because I always used to ask for wwe action figures for Christmas. I proceeded to inform him that he had no idea what he just started. A year later, I probably had over 100 figures.

A wrong Christmas present. My Nan gave me a triple pack of Mankind, The Undertaker and Stone Cold. I started watching wrestling with my brother after that, and soon every Birthday and Christmas was littered with WWF/WWE figures.

As a kid, it was because I was a kid.
Now, its because I'm a nostalgic ass with OCD.

My friend told me how awesome the CAW features were in the SVR games and I bought SVR 2010 and I was in Kmart the one day when I was looking in the toy dept when I spotted a B8 Maryse. So I boguht it thinking I would make a Lady Gaga custom out of it which Ironically never came into fruition. I was hooked ever since
