It's a start up company putting on a show in a baseball stadium, of course it's gonna get a low draw.

The promotion itself has had a lot of time being promoted, these ballpark shows however were announced a few months ago? And I don't know how true it is or not, a report from WrestlingInc says about 400 people showed up for it. If they came after the show started or that camera angle cuts a lot of people out not sure. Their first show in a ballpark, was anyone really expecting 6,000 however many that place can sit?

Happy to see GFW actually run their first show, however with the current roster I really don't see how they can land anytype of TV deal or be a company that has a "Global" impact and become anything more then a touring nearly local type level indy company that draws in a few hundred fans per night.
No offense to guys like Benjamin,Masters,Young Bucks,Bullet Club...ect the most well know guys on the roster but if you throw there faces on a poster or hype up that their coming to your town only die hard super fans of all things pro wrestling or people that go to any and all wrestling events are going to show up.You'll never get the general non die hard marks to show up.They badly need some big named talent like Goldberg,Batista,Styles,RVD,Dudley Boyz,Del Rio,Mysterio,Edge,JR...ect to help land a TV deal and to help bring in the fans.

I saw the pic of the audience the first GFW show got.....Don Tony is gonna have a field day with this on Monday lol. Anyways, it's sad to see they got very few fans, whether it was 150 or 400. This is why wrestling promotions that don't have top names should not have shows on baseball stadiums. It never looks good on any promotion to draw a low audience. I'll reserve more judgment on GFW's drawing ability once they have their "TV tapings" next month, but it's a ridiculous idea to have shows on baseball stadiums IMO. I saw the card these shows were at as well, they weren't cards that screamed, "This belongs at a baseball stadium". Also, I kinda like Jarrett using the six sided ring.

I heard they drew 400 fans for both shows this weekend and that's a rocky start. It could improve.

400 really isnt that bad. Most indy companies cant draw 200 and they've been running for years.
The baseball stadium was simply a crap idea for your start up shows.

People need to relax, 400 really isn't a great number but its essentially what NXT is ran in front of and they're the hottest thing in the business right now. Let GFW find their footing so we can get a legit idea of how this thing will go. My only gripe is the booking. They have brilliant talent and lackluster cards.

Booking could be a bit better, but I do think we need to wait a month's worth of shows to see where it's going. Also, Ring of Honor came through my town and drew about 300 people. I don't know how they are doing financially, but its seems that sub-500 numbers are not uncommon for even the top indys.

After seeing that Don West promo, I now need a Jeff Jarrett guitar more than anything. Hope he'll be working as a commentator for them

It's alright guys, Steiner is on the show tonight, they're going to oversell, guarantee.
Seriously though, looking at the card, it's not exactly screaming "STACKED" to me. Masters vs. Benjamin is cool, Chuckie T vs. Jigsaw will be great, and the rest of the card has some fun matches (Everett/Black teaming up is a dream indy team), but in the end it's not really something that I think could even challenge TNA. This baseball stadium tour feels weird though.

They should be in high school gyms, not empty stadiums.
