You are defending half-assed work because "maybe nobody will notice." It does not matter who they're for. It does not matter who will notice. It doesn't matter if you can fix it, because it shouldn't have to be fixed in the first place. The facts are as follows: The figure is wrong. It is flawed. Turning a blind eye to that doesn't change it, but it does encourage continued practice of putting bad products into the marketplace. Additionally, these "children" don't have jobs to buy figures. Adults are buying them. Obviously they are toys and there will be overlap, but Mattel is in the business of making toys for adults, or they wouldn't put the "adult collector" tag on so many of their lines. does it rustle your jimmies when people like the last Elite Jack Swagger?

No? If people want to like an out of scale figure that does a poor job representing the person it's supposed to be, they can. Personal preference has nothing to do with this thread, soooo whatever

There's nothing out of scale with that figure. Sting was big he might not been ripped at Starcade '97 but he was still a big guy. So those arms are fine. A much better choice than the arms used for Punk/Bret/Bryan/etc. Maybe the Rock/Sheamus? But the arms they used are fine. Especially if they are giving guys like Dolph and Cody those jacked up DM Steamboat arms. There's no way either of those two guys were ever bigger than Sting.

I assume it's because they don't have a mold the size of Rollin's hands. That's not an excuse, but I think that's why. I'm hoping for a new mold for Seth Metal. I believe they do. The red and blue Rey and the Halloween Rey both had new, larger gloved hands. It's part of the reason I always saw both on the shelf with the peg sticking out further than it should've been.

The new Rollins should have sculpted gloves , but i don't care since I'm use to Mattel doing it , I hope and wonder if Mattel will give e38 reigns a painted glove over the hand with gauglet since that's how he wears it on that hand

It's not egregious, but doesn't look great. There really should be a gloves mold. Just a generic one that can be used in several instances and look close enough. It doesn't have to be perfect, but painting a hand is similar to painting facial hair on a figure that doesn't have it sculpted. It changes the shape of the hand even if just marginally.

It's pathetic to read people calling MDTs work "half assed" how would you like it if he came into your dead end job and hassled you?

It wouldn't bother me because I actually pay attention to detail at my job. I do not know why you take any and all criticism of Mattel so personally and to heart as if someone is insulting you and kicking your dog simultaneously. People can have different opinions than you about toys, and you don't have to be a defensive weiner about it.

They have the Goldust and EG Undertaker glove hands mold, but I don't think the panted hands look bad. Just don't know why they don't use them...sort of like why they have the tall basic boot mold from the EG M$M yet always give Macho Man basics and even the SS M$M short boots. Sometimes their decisions are baffling. Like Basic Austin having Triple H arms and his Elites having Punks. Or Cody and Dolph basics having the old Orton arms, but their Elite now have huge thighs and those large DM Steamboat arms. Then give bigger guys like Gunn and Razor arms that are smaller than those two. Now those are things I can see as being problems, but not so much the use or lack of use of the gloves mold.

It's just plain sloppy work not including the glove mold on Rollins. It's not like he has a lot of deco to begin with.
