Did it bother anyone else in 2004 and 2005 when Coach would be put into matches instead of actual on air talent??
I remember in 2004 on the Raw PPVs, he would face Tajiri, or he would tag up with Lance Cade to face Tajriri and Rhyno, and somehow the WWE writers would put Coach over. Even at the 2005 Royal Rumble, Coach was put into the Rumble match over guys like Conway, Grenier, Rhyno and such.
What was the deal with Coach being put into a wrestling role?? Did anyone else get annoyed with it as I did??

He was a horrible worker. Decent heel manager though.

SOFT SPOKEN HARD HITTING
Coach was alright. Weird seeing him on ESPN after some of the goofy stuff he did with the WWE.

Wasn't he suppose to go over Austin at Taboo Tuesday which resulted in Austin no showing?

I've said it before and I still mean this, I HATE when commentators get involved into story-lines. No JR. No Coach. No Cole. Let them call the matches and let the in ring talent wrestle.

i remember watching summerslam and when he hit the rock in the back with the chair just thinking....coach? really? lame.
couldn't stand him as a commentator so once he was an actual character i was not enthused.

I might be in the minority, but I love Jonathan Coachman.

Jonathan Coachman was pretty much the Michael Cole back then.

It was Shane McMahon that he hit with the chair at SummerSlam, not the Rock. That heel turn though came out of left field, and really didn't make any sense. I will say though, I thought that he was good as a lackey for the heel authority figures, first Eric Bischoff, and then Vince.

Coach should of never wrestled. He should of never announced. The only times I liked him was when he was doing comedy stuff, like the Copacabana interview with The Rock.
