the period at the end of 08 until Punk's pipebomb in 2011 the show sucked. That for me is when I stopped watching because i just couldn't deal with it. Apart from the Nexus, there's nothing i really remember about that period other than it being god awful

Not really "classic" but I'd missed the Kathie Lee and Hoda Raw and saw some of it the day after. I was appalled.

Oh there was quite a bit, but the biggest had to be Mae Young giving birth to the hand. I think I hated that more than David Arquett winning the World title.

more than anything, just when it's boring/bland. at least when all the outrageous things happened in this thread they could be thrown under the 'dumb ideas' banner, but a lot of that early 90s wrestling in both wwf and wcw is just painful.

There was no one to get behind because you automatically knew they'd be fed to Cena, Orton or Triple H if they got over at all. Jeff Hardy was the only bright light IMO. If he would've been able to keep himself clean and focused at that time, they would've backed the money truck up to his front door. They seemed pretty serious about giving him a real run at top and then he got suspended right before the Wrestlemania where he was supposed to of won the MITB contract. I mean, he still eventually won the title, but the pop he would've gotten from winning the contract and cashing in would've been INSANE. |

The whole Vince McMahon bastard son thing. I want to say this was in 2007? So that would have made me either 12/13 at the time, and even then I thought it was stupid and flat out embarrassing. And that's saying something considering I was gullible as hell as a child and loved anything fed to me by the WWE. Don't remember much of it, not trying to.

Triple H throughout the early-00s. Hearing the BREOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWR right after the Raw intro prompted me to change the channel and not come back for about thirty minutes for quite a while. At least the quad injury thing gave me a break for about a year, that was nice.
