I loathed JBL as a kid around this time. Superb heel.

I feel like the wrestling god was very underrated. I loved him as a heel on the smackdown brand. Chasing illegal immigrants. That was some funny chit. Lol

Yes, this was one of the greatest story lines WWE ever produced. It's right up there with Big Show riding around the top of his fathers casket and Al Snow being tricked into eating his own dog.

I loved this as a kid and love it now. I know this was suppose to generate heel heat but I can guarantee this segment gained JBL far more fans than detractors.

JBL, the wrestling God who protected our borders, gave Eddie's mom a heart attack, and goosestepped his way into the hearts and imaginations of young fans everywhere.
I miss this JBL. Not the goofy out of touch JBL that "graces" our presence every Monday

Bingo.....its just like Swagger and Coulter. In certain arenas those 2 were "over like rover" with their rhetoric. Vince doesn't really understand his demographic so well sometimes.....or maybe he does. I thought JBL was an excellent heel but unfortunately my feelings for the real JBL have clouded my feelings towards him and his title reign. I thought he was a great throwback coward ass heel though.

This was when I liked JBL and I knew nothing of him except what WWE showed.
Now all I know him for is stories of him in showers and his stupid commentary and I just don't know anymore.
