I won't pick up the new TRU Rollins if it comes with the same belt that Brock came with.

Holy crap what?! I was not aware of this, glad I didn't buy the belt now, I guess I can scratch it off my list.
That is bogus, hope Mattel hears us and fixes the problem, don't want the NXT belt to be molded too

Would I prefer the belt be made with plates instead of molded? Yeah, but this version doesn't bother me that much.

MattelDesignTeamWhy would you do this? Is it a cost cutting measure, or is it because the new one with actual plates and VUM was not ready? If we don't get one with plates, I really think that's a bad move... Could have eliminated Stephs signs, and Seths Cinderblocks if you needed the budget.. I think taking out Steph's signs would of elmininated oh about 3 cents from the budget lol. I would of rather seen Steph come with nothing really than signs. It is a accessory I could easily do without.

Personally, I don't mind the one-piece rubber belt. It sits more realistically on the figure, where the belts with plates look bulky and weird on the figures' waists. Also, I had LJN's when I was a young 'un and these rubber belts give me a warm, nostalgic feeling. I'm cool with them. those rubber shirts, though.

I'm going to predict that the NXT belt that comes with the upcoming Sami Zayn Elite will also be rubber.

This conversation has happened so many times, but collectors are not their main focus. The defining moments are more geared towards collectors, which I'm sure the majority of collectors bought them and maybe even bought more than one. The prices have gone up, but mattel didn't do this with out reseach. I'm not defending mattel, not because I'm happy with everything they put out (I buy only certain figure, not whole series) I defend them, because so many people on here are under the impression that they can do a better job and that mattel are clueless. Believe it or not, bill and the rest of wwe mattel are doing a great job and we should be happy it's not jakks. I never once said they're clueless. In fact I'm pretty sure they're cognizant of what they've done. Believe it or not, I also said I like mattel's figures. This has to do with what their approach will be in the future. I'm not going to just shut up because "we should be happy." Being complacent about situations like this is what leads them to cut more costs. There is nothing a company would love more than shed a few pennies making something and then charge two more dollars for it. If they see everyone doesn't care about a belt becoming one piece of rubber instead of what we previously got, then soon that's all we'll get, followed by more rubber crap in DM, molded on shirts on elites, more of those crappy signs that are with Stephanie, more tattoos as accessories, more decal not on figures and on and on. We once got stands. They took those out so they could maintain the price point, or so they said, but would do ya know? The prices didn't stay the same. In fact, they've gone up quite a substantial rate. It would not surprise me if in a few years they were $30 after tax all while including the same crap I mentioned above. I'm not a lemming. I like my figures as much as anyone on here, but if I see them doing this stuff more and more, I'm just gonna stop buying figures. It's not worth it for me at that point. I also realize that most here won't do that because "they should be happy it's not jakks." Mattel was supposed to be different than jakks. These were supposed to be made for collectors, you even said it yourself. Well, collectors have spoken, and they don't want rubber garbage belts. You wanna save some money on a set? Ok, find something else. Wait a minute, elite 37 barely has any accessories all ready. So much so that steph doesn't even come with an "accessory" just two pieces of cardboard that was less than a penny to make. This wasn't because they had no budget, because this will continue to be the belt you get every time now. Hoping to get that TRU Rollins? Same belt. Any figure that comes with the wwe title is getting that rubber belt. They're not changing it unless people say something. Anyone who posts pictures of their new pickups and says, "well, the belt isn't that great but I guess it will do. I hope the one will Rollins isn't the same, but I'll buy it anyway even if it is", are enabling Mattel. If you say "this belt is terrible, I'm not buying it", then maybe they'll do something. There's a reason it's been 2 and a half years and that hardcore Kane is still for sale on RSC. That belt is terrible. If that hardcore belt was even decent that figure would've sold out. But here's the thing, I understand why they did it for that belt with all the stuff that's on. I fully understand the purpose on that one, even if the execution was poor. The problem is, the wwe title belt is THE belt. It's the belt that matters. It's almost exactly like the original one but with a new logo. Was it that hard to make it plastic and shiny like the previous one? The answer is no. But it was cheaper. That's why we got it. It's alright dude, you don't have to lose sleep over this.

You are right, I have no idea why this guy uses Mattel and research. If Mattel "RESEARCHED," that awful Kane would have never been made. If they RESEARCHED, we would have gotten another SCSA with Skull Belt. If they "RESEARCHED," we would have gotten a real sculpted belt instead of flat rubber. Guys like that never get it, they are just happy with anything and justify it every way possible. If we don't tell MAttel they suck, we will get rubber belts and they will give us APA figures with painted T-Shirts.....oh...ouch

I have been in the minority in that I prefer non-vac belts. Specifically I like the ones like Dean Ambrose's US title that has the appearance of being shiny when in fact it is gold paint. Also, I don't like the separate plates, they simply don't work well at the scale. Serviceable, but not great.
I can see the perceived sleight, but I assure you, it isn't anything personal or sinister. Mattel is THE megacorporation, they are going to do what they can to keep their bottom line healthy. Bill can't help this, and complaining won't change it. Not buying it won't change things either, they will pull the plug on the line before they change it to appease us. Matty Legends say hi.

If anyone gets this figure and doesn't want the belt, I will be happy to trade you one of the "non crappy" belts for it.

And besides the arms and head, there's silver paint apps all over. I'm assuming they threw the signs in to quiet the ones that complained about elite 30 Batista and his tattoos listed as accessories. Or to be nice. I'll try to be positive in a very negative and demanding thread.
