Nothing about molded belts are best for business The question is would you rather have a molded belt or no belt ?. Mattel is a business and there is a budget for these figures. Mattel is never going to explain in detail to anyone on a forum their strategy. For everyone who says I won't buy it etc., plenty will and Mattel will make their money. I'd rather have no belt and just keep releasing the scratch logo one that was done correctly...

Who didn't expect this? They used an entirely new body mold for Stephanie,A new shirt mold for Seth, a new vest mold for Dean Malenko, and the new Jacket for Miz. Too bad they added the shine to Cenas Shirt instead of the belt. I'll still get Brock though No one expected it because it's the first time they've released one of the CHEAP belts made for CHEAP figures in the elite line. It's BS

Looking at my E30 Brock and laughing. They've already done a screaming scan. And a better one at that
I am almost scared thinking about how hard it'll be find one at retail (not that I'll be looking for that garbage anyway) without the belt stolen. lmfao. Horrible.

Oh my god, I'm lmao at people saying they're going to quit collecting because Mattel made the new WWE title(IMO) more realistic than most of the belts they've put out. If something like that is going to quit something, you should have quit a long time ago.
I for one love this version of the belt. I like that it's all one piece, which means it's not as bulky and odd looking when you put it on a figure.

I have to assume Bill has fought over this situation and lost. Similar to the articulation situation, he has a boss sitting over his head going "ok, how can we make more money?!" Which ultimately means, how can we cut corners and keep charging the same or more for these figures. I don't think Bill wants to give us less quality but if he's being told to do stuff then he has a job to do, despite knowing or understanding what we want. However, that being said, as an end consumer, this jazz. That belt looks like total sh*t and I went from spending money on Brock to that being an extremely easy pass. Figures are $20-22 a pop, retail. Financially, it's not even about what I can afford, but rather what I think is worth spending my money on. This figure, and more specifically that belt, is not worth the money I work hard to earn. So if Mattel wants to play that game, em. I've seen plenty of people stepping away lately, I know I've slowed down considerably. The best way to send a message to Mattel is stop buying figures that aren't worth our money.

Isn't L6 Warrior's yellow belt also painted rubber, but its just on individual plates opposed to one piece.

My thoughts exactly. I'm sure Bill had to do it because of budget reasons.

Its just sad that it does seem like Mattel quality has taken a severe dip as of late. Balor and Scott Hall are the only two things of note that mattel did a great job on.

It makes a lot of sense as to how they fit the briefcase and belt into that TRU Rollins now. The belt is cheap af.

Wow, this sucks. I agree this is bullcrap, and I don't see any excuse. It doesn't look bigger than the other belt, so how is it going to fit on Brock? Another botch, and I assume it will be the cheap crappy title with the TRU rollins too.

For me, it was never about the figures. I only have 3 Mattel figures. The only one I wanted was the Mr. McMahon TRU mail away exclusive. The only reason why I have the Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock figures is because it came with my kids sized Intercontinental Championship Title Belt. For me, it was always about the Championship Title Belts. I let it go with the Hardcore Championship Titke Belt. I don't know if I can let it go with the Big Network. There are custom versions with SuperStar side plates that look better than this. Now that I think about it, those decals might actually look good on these new Big Network Belts.

I'm contemplating quitting this hobby too and have been for a couple weeks. Stuff like this doesn't help. Quality going down... prices going up.

Sometimes I feel like they try new stuff just to see how we react. Mattel ur better than this. Just like we hate getting elites with dull belts. Sell belt packs as ringside exclusives and be done with it. We will pay for these! It beats paying scalper prices on eBay. $50 for an attitude era belt. Ur crazy. I'd definitely buy a belt pack or two...

The only thing I disliked about the hardcore belt on Kane was that when you put it around his waist it stretches out the plates and they look warped. If thats gonna be a problem with this belt on bigger guys like Brock then yeah I can see why people would be pissed off. That along with how many QC errors i've dealt with in the past year and Mattel refusing to return emails is a pretty big let down. My four horseman Ric Flair has no RF on his trunks, HOF Warrior and some of the Horseman have thighs with a noticeable gap and my WM 31 Kane's boot snapped off when I rotated it straight out of the package. Guys like Doink I saw a lot of with really bad paint apps. I've been buying a lot of their product lately so I can't say i'd quit but it's not looking good.

Aesthetically, it looks accurate because of the back of the belt. It's bare. The problem with the last Logo belt (or any belts for that matter) is the plate's tabs take up a lot of space on the inside of the belt. That being said, WHY is anyone surprised as to why it was done? OF COURSE it was a cost cutting measure. They are not a charity. I'm sure Bill did what he thought was best with what he's able to do. I'm not going to judge until I see the belt in my hand and if I don't like it then I don't buy it. Simple as that. That's how you vote.

so we can't voice our opinion on a public forum about figures? Got it.
