I hope they redo the winged eagle belt like this. The original is too chunky!

I have to assume Bill has fought over this situation and lost. Or he saw all the complaints about how inflexible and blocky the old belt was, and decided to try something new.

Meh I think it looks fine. There isn't much gold (or color really) at all to the main plate, and you can't even really notice unless you see it up close. No one here noticed until it was in hand. Besides, you could all have mine and have a big paint chip missing on the wwe logo...

For those upset about people voicing their opinions over this and contemplatimg quitting collecting, its not the belt that we are upset over. Its been an accumulation of various things over months. Prices going up, quality going down, plastic shirts and accessories, etc This is just another thing to add to the list. Things have progressively gotten worse instead of better for those of us who have been collecting since the very start.

With all these cuts, I think elites should be regularly priced $15.99. This is just getting insane for paying over $20 for an elite at some stores, and were not getting more bang for our buck. This sucks

This looks more accurate than having brackets stick out the back of the stinking belt. I don't get the big deal, the old VAC belts are shiny, yes, but they look like crap on figures. Even my gf who knows nothing about these figure forums or anythjng said those brackets kill the look when looking at my collection.
I've been waiting for new belts like this for awhile. As long as they don't fudge the paint job and they are bendable in the correct places, I don't mind it.
Of course I'd need to see it in person, but from the pics it looks good to me. I am probably going to switch to custom IWGP belts for my fed anyway, so belt matters don't really have much impact on what figs I buy. Esp. if it's a crappy headscan like Brock has. Throwing in a new belt won't make me get it lol. Ebay is your best friend.

I got my Malenko from RSC today, and I intend for it to be the last fig I get. It's a big let down for me compared to what we just saw at SDCC. Their business strategy is going to bite them in the ass over time, because I and many like me aren't the type to just accept whatever trash they put out and be happy with it. I feel like I have to fix up so many of their mistakes...part choices, wrong kneepads, now I gotta paint a 5 o'clock shadow that was just on the fig we saw a few weeks back? Nah. Not anymore. The whole Hogan situation was a bad bad blow to me too. Not because Mattel could have seen it coming, but this business strategy of always keeping is chasing made us all miss out. So, they won't be getting my money anymore. After 4+ years and 300+ figs, and I don't even want to think about how much money.

so we can't voice our opinion on a public forum about figures? Got it. You're more then welcome to. But if you're opinion comes off as a whiny entitled brat who can't accept change like most of the people in this thread and somebody calls you a baby, don't get all upset. If Mattel produced their belts like this from the get-go, everybody would have loved them. People just hate change. Not having the vaccum aspect sucks, but this belt is more accurate to the one on television and will fit better compared to the previous version Mattel released. I have no problems with this style. Get over people and stop threatening to quit. Just do it already if you're so outraged over a toy. Geez.

No one here noticed until it was in hand. Haha. This. Seriously, I need to stop looking at most of the threads in this section of the board. The constant bitching and entitlement is way more off-putting then the current state of Mattel's quality and prices. Yeah, it's not ideal, but it's still way better then Jakks...or nothing at all.

As long as this will be easier to drape over Big E's shoulder I'm all for it.

Any kind of change from the same old s**t.

No wonder I find myself buying less figures now.. $22 bucks a pop and severe quality issues has really slowed me down. The plastic they use now feels hollow and cheap, I bet the elite 5 Chavo is heavier than the recent Earthquake figure. Haha
