The ratings for the CFP games were down nearly 6 points from last year, this year the games were in the 9 range and last year in the 15 range. I'm assuming that's due to a) people being busy on New Years Eve and b) the games being far from dramatic. The 4pm kickoff probably hurt Clemson/OU honestly. Blame it all on the Rose Bowl though. They refused to relinquish their New Years Day time slot (which is understandable) so ESPN was forced to stick the games on NYE. They should have done it Jan 2nd (which would be a Sat) so everyone could watch.

I'm just gonna assume Gangrel is a secret member of the Stanford coaching staff, cause this game is a bloodbath.

Iowa never stood a chance in this game. They're a decent team but they won a TERRIBLE division in the Big10 and never had to play any decent teams. They're only quality win was against Northwestern who just got slaughtered by Tennessee earlier (who slaughtered Iowa last year in a bowl game). If Stanford could ever get over their 1 egg laying game a year (ironically enough against Northwestern this year) they'd be a hell of a team to deal with in the CFP....of course Im a lil biased too.

Any debate over how the Big 10 should've unfolded this season? Ohio State clearly the best team in the conference, followed by Michigan. Put Stanford in the play off and make the Big 12 sit out until they can play defense.
In any event,
TOSU/Stanford Michigan/Tennessee Penn St/Florida Northwestern/Georgia Iowa/Notre Dame
Would have all been much better match ups. Or even Mich/ND. Since they don't play each other anymore.

Tyler Boyd has declared. Most mocks have him late first to late second depending on the team. He's gonna be a stud like Fitzy was. Just get him on a team with a respectably decent QB and he's gonna light the world on fire.

Stupid that the games were on New Years Eve and a 4:00 start. 1:00 for the west coast.
I assume this is going to be the case when the Rose and Sugar Bowl doesn't have the 2 semifinal games.
I felt all along Bama, Clemson, OSU, Stanford/ND winner were the 4 best teams.
They put the 4 correct teams in there based on standings but I thought OU and Mich. st were overrated. Yet "experts" kept calling OU the best team in the nation. I only say them against Tenn, a bit against Texas and less against backup QBs (TCu, Baylor). I assumed I had missed something.
The 2 best teams are still in it though so that is good. Would've liked to see OSU have a say.

The Sugar Bowl could have been moved but I guess they didnt want the semi final games to be on different days. I personally would have stuck the games on Saturday.

I was hoping Oregon/TCU would be a nice change of pace from the recent stream of big bowl blowouts. I was wrong.

Wow, we finally get an exciting bowl game. I like Oregon, but had to pull for TCU after that comeback. Incredible.

West Virgina/ASU wasn't too bad of a game. Glad we got a good Saturday of games.

My NDSU Bison won their 5th straight title. Naturally, it was 40 degrees and windy in Frisco.

Great game between Alabama and Clemson. Congrats to Bama on the win and Darrick Henry for a monster season.
