From the promo last night on RAW, I actually like the idea of them being a tag team after SummerSlam.

Loved them together on the JBL and Cole show.
That being said, eh, at least Barrett is doing something at SummerSlam.
But, I don't think I want to see this going on past it.

It's not like both guys are getting a run at the WWE title any time soon. So I don't see what it would hurt to give them some direction for a few months. I think Barrett specifically would benefit from being in a tag team.

Cody Rhodes & Barrett might work, but I'm not sure how they'd work together as a team.
I'd rather have Goldust and Stardust back together.

I could see: Barrett & Rusev (gives both something to do) Barrett & Sheamus Barrett & Adam Rose Barrett & Heath Slater Barrett & Cesaro (if WWE wants to turn Cesaro in the future) Barrett & Neville (see; Cesaro) All seem to work better on the surface than he and Stardust. |

Based on the promo from RAW last night, I like the idea of them being a tag team. I want to wait until Summerslam to see their chemistry as a tag team before judging further. If they have good chemistry as a team, keep them as a tag team. It's not like Barrett is doing anything important.

Barrett and Cody were amazing together on the JBL and Cole Show, with this gimmick it would be like that but turned up to 100.
If they really let them go all out they could be as entertaining as The New Day.

I really liked their promo last night...and that's coming from someone who doesn't care for either Stardust or Barrett individually. So I'll say yes, I'd be interested in seeing how they'd work as a full-time tag team.

This is just filler and to entice another audience to be attracted to watch WWE. Honesty I'm tired of the wack "celebrity" gimmicks invading wrestling.
What are the chances Stardust and Barrett lose? Umm, 98%

That promo was enough that I'd at least give it a shot. I agree. I mean let's face it, the tag division is still weak even with 4 teams in the title match. Barrett and Cody would make a nice addition. Thing is, they've got to win on Sunday to be considered a threat. Losing to a non wrestler like Amell, no matter if he has Neville teaming with him, is bad for their prospects. |
