Stardust only works well with Goldust. And I still don't understand how Barrett is still employed. From injuries to failed success in any type of push, he still has a contract. Impressive.

The way both of there singles careers at going I think a tag team could be best for both guys only thing is it puts Cody/stardust BACK into ANOTHER tag team but the stardust character doesn't have a high ceiling anyways solo

After tonight's promo alone I want to see them team for a long, long time. Barrett is my choice for the most criminally underutilized talent they have on that roster and some days I feel like I'm the only person on here that loves the Stardust character. Hated it to start but man has it grown on me.

I'm down for it, but Barrett needs to own the weirdness more to be with Stardust.
I like Cody whatever his gimmick, but Barrett seemed kinda awkward.

No, Stardust should become Cody Rhodes again. I agree with this but if they have to keep Cody as Stardust then I guess this would give him something to do because it isn't like they are going to give him a run with the IC or US Title anytime soon. Plus it would add another good tag team to the division. Poor Wade deserves to not lose all of his matches too so maybe they would win more if they were a tag team and eventually the tag team champions? |

Honestly, I don't see the chemistry between these two. If they had to be in a tag I would rather Stardust switch back to Cody and be a prince or a knight to go along with King Barrett. Idk this Stardust thing has just gotten so old.

A character that has been running for just over a year "has gotten so old"... can you imagine if people looked at a character like Mankind and decided after a year that that character had just gotten so old? Or The Ultimate Warrior? C'mon. I'm not sure what the people pining for him to return to Cody Rhodes are hoping to accomplish (have him essentially be in the same position on the card with a much less interesting/marketable character?) |

Hated it to start but man has it grown on me. This. As much as I'd love to see Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes as singles guys, it's better than watching them flounder. The promo alone has me thinking there's potential there, even if I thought Barrett was trying too hard. The Cosmic Kings line was gold and they should've ended the promo right there. Cody went a bit overkill adding the line afterward. |

Tyme, you are right on the money. Gimmicks need time to develop. A year is not enough time to real measure the staying power. While I think they didn't do Cody justice when he was running hot, he's only 30. He's been relatively injury free and he's getting better. His prime hasn't started yet imo. |

I think the Cosmic King works well as Barrett's next gimmick, it works nice because it still references he won king of the ring, but its got that whole other wacky side

If they put them together, Cody would make it work.
They could say to him "Hey, Cody, we're gonna have you come out and basically do what your brother did in 1998 and be the artist formerly known as Stardust", and he would make it work.
