Absolutely not. I didn't think it was possible for Barrett to look like an even bigger joke than he has with the king gimmick. It friggin' sucks cuz Barrett is one of my fav wrestlers to and they're making him look like a chump ever since he lost the IC title. Winning the King of the Ring is not panning out. |

I'm all for the idea of Barret getting a similar gimmick to fit stardust. It's time for a change with Barret anyway

I'm all for the idea of Barret getting a similar gimmick to fit stardust. It's time for a change with Barret anyway Change with Barrett from the losing King "yes", but pleeeze don't turn him into a sideshow like Stardust. They need to simply go back to the tuff guy persona of Bar News Barrett. Plus I heard Cody even wants out of the Stardust character just WWE doesn't know what to do with him next (ie this stupid match) |

Do you guys think it's more along the lines of Barrett and Rhodes losing their confidence?
Let me explain my thoughts on this. Barrett was poised to be a breakout star in early 2011, not if, but when we'd see him with the WWE Championship. Then he gets hurt, booked badly, lather, rinse, repeat to where he's struggling to make anything work. That promo on Raw for example, he was trying to hard to come across intense when we could argue his promo skills are on one of his strengths.
And Cody, when he and Goldust were getting hot in 2013, Cody looked like he was finally starting to put it together. Sure he had Dusty coaching him, but it seems like he lost a little confidence which lead to the gimmick overhaul. It's not uncommon for guys to lose their confidence and be afraid to take chances and give suggestions to creative. I've heard in many interviews that Vince likes assertive guys, but it's hard to be assertive when your confidence is shaky.
Anyone agree?

Sorry man, I went looking for the article, but couldn't find it. Thought it was on 'Wrestle Zone'. I did read though (on the site) that he came back (after Dusty's passing) still as Stardust because Dusty had given him a shirt in his first match 'refereeing" that said 'Stardust' on it and that Dusty used to fly on a plane that was named 'Stardust'. So it has the sentimental value to him. |
