The question I have now is does Tate get her title shot between now and 200? Or is the Rousey rematch gonna be Holm's next match? ...yeah, I was thinking that too. Tate should get her title shot - but then, could you really risk such a HUGE fight as Holm/Rousey 2? |

Just read an interview where Taz thinks it's a work.
I've thought some of the ufc has been fixed for years. I think Anderson Silva vs Forest Griffin and Brock vs Couture were fixed for sure. I may be wrong, but I'm a firm believer when I have a hunch about something.

I may be wrong, but I'm a firm believer when I have a hunch about something. I don't believe it for a second... the UFC would instantly lose all credibility. Forrest's style just played right into Silva's hands, and Brock was too big and strong for Couture. Upsets happen... sure, Rousey/Holm 2 will be huge, but I don't think UFC would have wanted Ronda to lose - especially in such devastating fashion. Besides, there have been plenty of instances where someone has lost and it's completely messed up UFC's plans/big-money fights(!). |

Not sure I buy Taz's arguement for Rousey/Holm. Now, don't get me wrong I'm sure at some point in the last 193 shows UFC's paid someone to drop. It happens in boxing all the time, or at least it used to. So I'm sure it's happened. But this was just so blatantly Ronda getting her ass kicked that it couldn't have been a fix.

No way it was a fix, Ronda losing in that fashion can only hurt the sport. Granted there will be the rematch, but she will never be undefeated again.
Also, that fight broke all attendance records for UFC. That being said, there is no reason that they would intentionally have Rousey look like a chump out there. She's the big draw.

Not a chance this was fixed. That said, Ronda losing was the best thing to happen for the UFC. Stupid high buyrate incoming for the rematch.
