If anything instead of debuting Steiner as a babyface they should have brought him in as a heel right from the jump and have him instead on RAW they should have put Steiner on Smackdown on the blue brand because on that brand he would have been a bigger star especially with the likes of such stars on that brand like Lesnar, Angle, Benoit, Big Show, Taker, Mysterio, Cena, etc. and as for who I would have booked Steiner with, I would have had him feud with Taker right off the jump or I would have had him feud with Kurt Angle back when Kurt was a babyface or I would have had Steiner as a heel on RAW but have him feud with stars like Booker T, Nash or even Michaels

They shouldn't have let him wrestle with dropfoot.
And he should have been a heel.
That's it.
Still, he was only brought in to put over HHH so it's pointless.

There were things they could have done with Steiner during the HHH program but didn't because they had no interest in him long term. he was there to get some ratings jumps and buyrates for PPVs and when the crowd turned on him? that was that.

It's weird that now Lesnar is doing exactly what Steiner did... but the crowd loves him for it.

I was kind of expecting (and kind of sad when it didn't happen) a Scott Steiner vs. Eddie Guerrero feud for the WWE Title on Smackdown in 2004 after Eddie won the Title from Lesnar. Instead we got JBL - which at the time I hated. To me he was still an APA guy that got a heel push out of nowhere and I didn't care for it.
I think if a Steiner vs. Guerrero feud had happened it would have been interesting, and even played back into WCW. But that's the problem, Vince wouldn't want to acknowledge WCW in 2004.

Its still nuts to me that the future of Steiners WWE career was decided during a phase that he was injured in and could barely move.
Guy had HEAPS to offer as a heel character there......Bah.

I knew he was dead after they left him off the Wrestlemania 19 card.

I knew he was dead after they left him off the Wrestlemania 19 card. Then the following PPV Backlash he was on the Sunday Night Heat show wrestling Rico. Scott Steiner vs. Christian could have at least taken place at Wrestlemania 19 that year. It's pretty crazy to look back at Wrestlemania 19 and see the Raw brand during that time and notice so many talented stars who weren't a part of the grandest show of them all.

Hell, Kane & RVD had to defend the tag titles against Lance Storm & Chief Morley on Heat for goodness sake. The Dudley Boyz weren't even booked either. They ended up interfering in the tag title match on Heat.

He was pushed to hard put of the gate and he would have been a much better heel.

First things first, he should have been given adequate time to heal up.
Booker T triumphs by winning the Intercontinental Championship. Enter heel Steiner the next night on Raw. He says that he's back, wants the belt, and is out to prove that Booker's win on the last ever Nitro was nothing more than a fluke. Booker and Steiner feud for a while, with Steiner eventually winning The IC Title at Summerslam. Scotty defends it for a few months until he loses it to RVD at Armageddon. Steiner continues to feud with RVD, which leads to a match at Wrestlemania XX for the IC Belt, which Steiner wins.
That's all I've got for now.

I would have brought back both Rick and Scott as a team. This would have helped with Scott's healing and work load.

Honestly he wasn't healthy to do any better honestly. It took him years to get back in ring shape.

Because of the injury, I wouldn't have had him in a role of a wrestler. I would have introduced him as back up to another mid-card heel. An enforcer type role. That way he could be on TV, cut his heelish promos, and be given time to heal up. Once he was ready, let him go after the US or IC championship. If that had went well and the crowd was behind him, then move him up to one of the major championships.
I hate when someone debuts and goes straight to a WWE Championship program. Because if they win, it was rushed, and they don't really deserve it. And if they lose, there is no where to go from there but down.

Day 1:
"GIVE ME A F*CKIN' MIC!"
It was all downhill from there...

Vince was in such a tailspin over ratings that he hotshotted virtually EVERYTHING in 2002 and 2003.....he was still reaping the bitter harvest he and his offspring had sown during the Invasion angle. I say Invasion but aggressive parking would be more suitable for what happened....
