Oh, I absolutely know that. I was saying it because a lot of people honestly feel that nostalgia > all. Instead of wanting to see the current crop of stars become something, they'd rather just live in the past and see the stars of yesteryear, way past their primes, get the TV time. I suppose that depends on how you feel about the current crop of talent. If was watching Billy Graham and Bruno take spots from Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka for example in 1985, i'd be pretty annoyed. However when WWE's roster starts to resemble an indy fed, yea i see why people would rather watch Nash hobble out and give whatever he has left. Ideally i think everyone would rather watch a bunch of great wrestlers in there late 20's- early 30's in their prime, but you have to be able to connect with them as characters first and foremost. Most of these guys in WWE today can't chew bubblegum and walk at the same time, let alone cut a good promo. How many people honestly watch for workrate anyways? I look at it like this, if a nostalgia match isn't a trainwreck and pops the crowd with some good spots and psychology, no harm no foul. I'd rather watch the current crops than watch Sting and Triple H have the trash match they had at Mania this year. So there was harm and foul. I'd rather watch guys like Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan than Jimmy Snuka or a past his prime Kevin Nash and Big Show. To each their own.

That was the last time a Bog Show entrance was somewhat interesting. Ah, yes, Bog Show. Who could forget his feuds with the likes of Merk Henry, Jihn Cena, and Bruck Lesnar?

No offense but most of the legends that are dead still have more charisma than Rollins. Again, I don't cream over workrate.

Do you honestly think he has a way with words, a good voice, or has said anything interesting?

Seems to me they were just trying to add suspense.

Do you honestly think he has a way with words, a good voice, or has said anything interesting? I honestly think he has a way with words and the perfect voice for his character. What he gets to say isn't really his fault since the WWE scripts their promos. Even guys like John Cena, who is known to be able to ad-lib well, says the same tired things on the mic. Add in that Seth can absolutely go in the ring, which, while it doesn't make me "cream" is still insanely important, and the guy is damn good.

I mean, Was anybody really thirsting for Kevin Nash vs. Big Show in 2011 anyway? Being a huge Kevin Nash fan, I would have! Any chance I get to see Big Daddy Cool appear on WWE TV, I love it. I marked out huge last night for the NXT Takeover: Respect show just because they showed Kevin Nash sitting in the crowd. Love that guy!

Out of curiosity, why exactly do you seem to dislike the indies so much? I'm a bit tired, so without going into too much detail, I'm a guy who watches wrestling for the entertainment aspect. I do enjoy a great wrestling match, but it's taken such a precedence I'm annoyed. I enjoyed CM Punks work just like I like Kevin Owens as well. The thing is if I don't think your an above average promo guy or at least entertaining, I'm not interested. I don't hate the indys, but it's far and away the style that made me love pro wrestling

Like I said, a nostalgia pop is easy. Anyone from the past can get one. It'll be bigger when it's someone with a HOF career like Nash, but still there was no reason for Show/Nash to be booked at Mania 27. It would have made an already rough WrestleMania far worse.
