..has been on fire this year.
On Pay-Per-View, he's been the most consistently solid guy on the main roster. I think the backlash coming out of the Rumble motivated him to go out there and give his best effort every time he gets in the ring. He has quite obviously improved a ton this year and I think he deserves credit for that. He hasn't had a bad match all year on PPV.

His in ring work has definitely improved. His promos haven't much unfortunately.

Oh yeah, he has improved a lot in the ring. I just wish they would either give him short and sweet, to the point promos, or have him be a Goldberg type guy and have his actions speak louder than words.

Cena has been far better in big match situations.
That's not to take anything away from Roman, though. He's been great on Pay-Per-View. Without a doubt, he's improved a great deal in that area.
Everywhere else, though, it's a total mixed bag. He's passable one night, absolutely abysmal the next. His media interviews paint the picture of someone who completely lacks self-awareness and is a bit of a mercenary. He can't fill the John Cena PR role - he comes off far too heelish and condescending for that.
There could be nothing better for Roman Reigns than to become a monster heel right now.

Yep, his in ring work has been getting better. I don't think he'll ever be mistaken for a great technical wrestler but as a brawler he does well. He needs a manager though because his promos are beyond cringeworthy. I think that sometime in the next 6 months he should get a run with a mid card title to see how he does before he gets thrown back into the WWE title picture. He might benefit from a 2-3 month long feud with Kevin Owens (who is hopefully done with Ryback after last nights clean victory).

I'm very impressed with Reigns his ring work has definitely improved a lot. I dislike the fans that boo him just because he's Rock's cousin.

There's something I don't like about Roman Reigns, and I've never been able to figure out what - I find him to be cold, with very little personality - he's 1 of these pretty boy types, who cares more about his looks than actual wrestling.
I cannot buy into him. I don't feel thrilled or excited when he says 'believe that' either.

He is only good in tag matches and brawl style no dq matches it seems. Haven't really seen a good straight up 1 on 1 singles match from him with the exception of Daniel Bryan/Reigns from Fastlane. Then we have his promo work, which is the most important tool a main eventer needs to sell matches and feuds. He is just so bad when it comes to talking. Once again, he is only good at talking when he is with someone else holding his hand throughout the promo. He definitely has improved tremendously, Its WWE that is ing him up. They are trying to turn him into something he isnt.

I've always been a fan of Roman since his debut, but instead of constantly making him cut long promos (which is obviously his weak spot), and building him up to be this superhero, it'd be nice if they'd kept him like he was in the Shield - the silent bruiser type. Either that, or just turn him heel.

Roman Reigns has won me over this year probably more than any other wrestler I can recall. I STILL think WWE handled his road to WrestleMania badly, but since then, he's become the star that they want. He does still need some polishing on the mic, but in the ring, Reigns has surprisingly been incredibly consistent. He's not Daniel Bryan or Sami Zayn by any stretch of the imagination, but he's Roman Reigns and that's perfectly fine.

If he'd had the year he's already had (minus the Rumble win, but still had the exact same match with Lesnar at a different PPV with Lesnar beating him clean but making him look great [like Bret did for Austin or Flair did for Sting]) and just now started to move organically towards the main event, just as he is now, the fans would be frothing at the mouth for him to be champion.

I've always been a fan, but I think he's at the top of his game ATM. Had WWE waited till this run to push him to the top, he & the fans would have been more ready.
I would put him as the front runner to dethrone Rollins. Can't see anyone more deserving.

I think Roman would be much better off if he didn't have to get emergency surgery last year. He was having a slow build up and was getting over, then he's out for three months, they give him Superstar of the Year, and he's suddenly a huge deal. If he had those three months to work on promo skills, in ring work and overall character, I think fans would've been way more accepting. This year has been good and bad, some good matches, but awful promos. And some pretty bad media appearances, telling everyone who thinks he hasn't improved, "Hey you're a dumbass". I would much rather see him with a midcard title for a few months before being rushed into World Title stage.

I think personally with the slow build Roman has been on and the fact that he's starting to get the "Cena reaction" means 1/2 things needs to happen 1. A Ambrose heel turn to give Roman a really big and INTERESTING (key word being interesting) feud simply because WWE can. or 2. A feud with Seth where Roman doesn't get the title but Seth and Roman trade victory's CLEANLY ending in Seth beating Roan in a hard fought match CLEANLY. Thus turning Seth into a strong champion which he hasn't been and also slowly putting Reigns into the minds of everyone as main eventer so he win the title at a later date (because we all know he is). But realistically we are probably gonna get neither soon and are gonna get some pointless fued with someone that doesn't make any sense a.k.a suffering sucka s*** son.

The issue with putting a babyface Roman against a heel Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins is that he's going to get booed in both scenarios. Dean Ambrose is more popular than Roman Reigns, whether WWE wants you believe it or not. Seth Rollins is the workrate guy who has earned the fan's respect. You don't want to continuously set Roman up to be in a position where he's beating guys that the fans like more than him. That's why they've either got to shuffle Reigns off to another mid-card program, or pull the trigger on him as a heel. Heel Roman Reigns vs. babyface Dean Ambrose would do huge favors for both guys.

Good point, either way I just want a fued for Roman that makes sense. I mean "Anyone but you Roman." What the heck is that I mean I know most fans were thinking it going into MITB but really Wyatt? What the do you mean anyone but you! I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT THE POINT OF THAT RIVALRY WAS!
