This is something I've never quite gotten...All I really know about him is that Cornette hates him, yet I'll constantly see on every wrestling site I go to how horrible Dunn is.
What exactly has he done to warrant such hatred?..Isn't he just the camera guy?

He's not just a "camera guy." He has Vince's ear and has a hand in a lot of the creative b.s. we see on television.

while i'd agree that to some extent the hate is unwarranted, dunn seems to be the guy who has the bad ideas of how to make pro wrestling less about wrestling and more into a strange bastard child of it.
essentially - he's the producer, and wrestling is currently heavily over produced, especially in regards to the in ring work of their wrestlers. that's enough to gripe about.

Isn't Dunn the reason behind all those great video pieces we have seen over the years though?? If so, he gets a pass with me because I dig those videos.
I don't hate Kevin Dunn. To me, the Kevin Dunn hate is the same as the Vince Russo hate. It's by wannabe know it all marks who think they know the business when in fact they don't know half of what goes into it all.

Yeah he doesn't like wrestling. That's why we have sports entertainment, I think the idea of having storyline is great don't get me wrong but at the end of the day it's supposed to be aBout the wrestling. Apparently he's had a lot of guys held back or let go because they weren't his idea of a "sports entertainer" ID go out on a limb and say he would have been someone who disliked daniel Bryan until the merchandise money numbers started coming in.
A few interviews I've read or seen claim that he wouldn't have a job if he hadn't saved wwfs tv deal by driving tapes from one end of the country to the other over night. Vince promised he'd always have a job for saving the company from losing its first major tv deal. True or not I don't know.

I don't have any proof that he hates wrestling or is behind anything that creatively that I dislike. He's behind those amazing video packages so kudos to him.
However, for all the praise he can get for the cool video packages, he deserves a ton of heat for the GOD AWFUL camera work in the WWE. Like, you guys are professional, stop making the show look like it's run by amateurs.

I know Paul Bearer hated the guy. Check out Paul Bearer and Jim Cornettes shoot interview together on youtube. It's no suprise that Jim Cornette hates him (plenty of good reasons too if you listen to some of his stuff) but it's surprising to hear Paul Bearer hating on someone as much as he did (he also hated Sunny too lol some great stories about her in that shoot too). Fun listening.

In a Cornette shoot, he tells a story that Dunn said nobody would know who Cactus Jack was in Madison Square Garden.
In the same shoot, he says Dunn told them nobody would know Terry Funk when he was Chainshaw Charlie.
