I wish. But it can't be what it should be.
But hell, a drunk Ric Flair can still cut a better promo than Cesaro. So it wouldn't hurt Cesaro's stock.

I love Flair, but he kind of overshadows everyone he's around. The only time he didn't was Evolution, and I'm still not sure how he managed that.
What Cesaro really needs is the time to show off his charm. As a face, he's very god at getting his point across on the mic. He'll never be Rock or Stone Cold, but he doesn't need to be. He's witty and articulate. He's already over in the ring and would be outside the ring if they would just let him be himself, which we've gotten flashes of over the last few months.
Stop pulling back, WWE!

I too love Ric Flair but reality check - he's really old and on the tipping point of senile. His once legendary promos are now slurred rants littered with forgetting lines.
The only way I see this getting over is if Cesaro treats him like his senile grandpa. Like Flair does crazy stuff on the apron that inadvertantly gives Cesaro the win, but Cesaro is morally conflicted because he's a babyface and Flair's antics are heelish.
I can see promos where he's embarassed by the crazy stuff Flair's saying.

If a 4 year old got into the liquor cabinet and took a few swigs you'd have Ric Flair. Pass.

It could be great, but I'm afraid it'll just be Ric Flair using it as a way to be the focus of something again.

When Ric Flair has a microphone, he's only interested in getting himself and his real-life buddies over. He can't be trusted to stick to a script.
We've already seen what happens when Cesaro gets a manager who can talk but mostly talks about something other than Cesaro.
We've seen Cesaro with various managers and valets. None of it works. The only thing that ever works is giving him a tag team partner. He doesn't cut it as a singles guy. Get some wacky lowercard guy like Fandango to do a Head Cheese type team with him until Tyson Kidd comes back.

To be fair, Cesaro didnt work with Heyman, because Heyman was too busy putting Brock over for snapping the streak. Honestly, Cesaro needs a manager, but the manager is a lost art in pro wrestling today.

I dunno bout that one. On one hand what could it hurt? One the other, is Flair really the right choice? IMO they should have kept Natalya with Cesaro. They become best friends and both benefit career wise from their allegiance. Tyson eventually returns and feels like the third wheel. Tyson/Cesaro feud is set. Nattie must decide between her husband and her best friend. While it sounds good on paper, the problem is this would be a feud lived out on Superstars because none of the 3 have been able to keep stable popularity on a main show. I enjoy Cesaro as well as Nattie (indifferent on Tyson) but none seem to be able to get over that hump.

During the European tour live events this past week, Ric Flair referred to Finn Balor as Fit Finlay. Fit f'n Finlay. No thanks. Stay gone. Well to be fair, a lot of people have called Bálor "Fit" but for other reasons. But yeah, Flair needs to stay away.

A modern-day horsemen-type faction, including Cesaro, Ziggler, Del Rio, and maybe Rollins as the champ, & Ric Flair as the manager could be very compelling....

No way. The only person who can help Cesaro is Cesaro. If his promos don't improve he'll never be Champion. He should hire an acting tutor.
