If your a fan of these guys then a deeply apologise but there is something that really bugs me about them and that is the WWE's obsession with trying to put them on top when it just doesn't work.
I will start with Sheamus. The guy has had 3 previous title reigns and each one of them flopped and he fell down to the mid card again so the same thing will most likely happen this time aswell. Also he can't draw, he's a good wrestler but you need drawing power and charisma to succeed as a main eventer and Sheamus has already proved that he doesn't by failing 3 times previous.
Now we have Del Rio. For 4 years the WWE did everything with him, they give him a RR win and had world title reigns but he couldn't get over AT ALL. The WWE tried and tried with him but nothing has worked. However once he leaves they decide to bring him back and HAND him the US title. Seriously a young upcoming star would've benefited from beating Cena for the US title but Vince decides to give Del Rio another go and putting him with Zeb isn't going to help him either because he will overshadow Del Rio.
Instead of giving up and realising that their pushes failed Vince is acting stubborn and refusing defeat in trying to push these guys to the top. Don't get me wrong I like Sheamus but he belongs in the mid card or upper card at best but NOT in the main event scene or anywhere near the world title and same goes for Del Rio.
Looking at the roster we have great talent like Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Neville, Barrett, Ziggler etc so I would rather see those guys get a chance.

I don't mind Sheamus but people need to give him a chance under the authority influence hopefully we'll see Triple H doing more talking for him. Like you said he's good in the ring but lacks in other aspects maybe they can help him improve.
Del Rio is weird I've never heard such a piss warm reaction to a former world champion. No one seems to care about him much at all. The odd pairing doesn't help and this fictional country gimmick is just stupid. I'm quickly realising why I didn't really miss Del Rio.

Idk about sheamus but I know Vince loves del rio for some dumb reason
They are both awesome in the ring but everything else is SEVERELY lacking

If they'd let del rio do his own talking he would be fine. The problem is the writing for him.

Good question. They're both good wrestlers but both have the charisma of a cardboard box.

I just can´t take Sheamus seriously, if someday for some reason Sheamus wanted to kick my ass I would laugh my ass off just looking at him all angry and ridiculous, would he kick my ass? Absolutely but I would still laugh my ass off on the way to the hospital.

WWE politics at its finest.
Cesaro cant be a top star despite being over because he doesnt have charisma and cant talk.
Sheamus/Del Rio are top stars who are multiple time WWE champions but have the charisma of a rock, cant talk and both dont get the slightest bit of a reaction, face or heel.

I like both guy to be honest.
When Sheamus is in the ring with someone capable and given proper time, he can have very entertaining matches. I do however wish he was booked more like a mean rotten Irish bastard instead of the sometimes tough, sometimes funny, loses more than he wins, Sheamus we have today.
I think Del Rio is another that is very good in the ring. Sure his mic skills aren't the best, but that was never a deciding factor for me anyhow. He does seem to phone it in occasionally, but I'm glad he's back. I was hoping we would get a Del Rio vs Cesaro feud, but with Cesaro being out, I guess I'll have to wait.

WWE as a brand is what draws these days, not the individual.
As for these chumps, who knows.

I don't care for any of these guys either. There average wrestlers, awful on the mic and lack charisma. But then again, it's Vince and he does stupid things.

You like WWE, not Daniel Bryan. You either like what they tell you to, or you're wrong. It's absolutely bizarre and nothing short of stupid.

Love both of those guys. Really enjoyed Sheamus' World Title reign in 2012, his first two were short and kinda ehhh. Hopefully with the Euro Authority he can dominate as a main eventer. Del Rio always been big on, in ROH and Lucha Underground to me he proved he's decent on the mic. He just needs something better than what he's got. The rich persona suited him. As a heel he can take from the poor and get heat, as a face he can give to the poor and be cheered. Money works a lot of ways, it easily could for Del Rio's character.

I like Sheamus but I just don't find him entertaining enough to be world champion. Same with Del Rio, but he needs to be the arrogant rich guy he was before. His pairing with Colter is awful.

Neither are awful. I think the booking is more of an issue. This Mexamerica nonsense is obnoxious and Sheamus doesn't look like a credible champion at all, not even as a slimy heel. He's been what? Loosing to Orton since he won MITB.
Not to mention it's time for new guys to get time in the spotlight. Reigns wasn't ready by the Rumble but he sure as Hell is now. Plus, Ambrose has been so over. Either would have been fine as champion.

I will never understand why. They're two of WWE's most boring superstars.

Sheamus is HHH's friend. I don't think anything else needs to be said.
But as far as Del Rio goes... Although I'm a fan, I understand how some could find him bland. That's mostly how he's booked though. His stuff in LU and ROH was fantastic. But someone in WWE somehow just doesn't understand that you can't force things that should happen organically [see: Bryan, Daniel; Reigns, Roman]. They are desperate for a Hispanic star and they're willing to do anything to make that happen, except use common sense.
