Because both draw fans from their respective countries?!?!?!
Just kidding, I dunno either. There's no point complaining though.

I love both... Saying that, when Sheamus won the title, and though I am hyped as for it, I fear they will make him another Seth... character wise. On RAW, he was the valet... the ing valet, a little tiny image in the background of the match-up screen... he got one hit in the gut and rolled out the ring, retreating just like a certain Slick Dique Seth Rollins... but that's a topic for a different time. As I said, I feel like people have already said the answer when they say it's because the international markets. They have always seemed to had a thing for hispanic stars in the era I grew up, people like Eddie, Rey, The Mexicools, they seemed to be in a match everyweek and were being put allot into. Sheamus being from Ireland, I can't really say I know of other Irish wrestlers from my era aside Finlay, but now we Finn being one of the hottest things in the wrestling world, and maybe... Becky... I sound hesitant cus' I have no idea where she'll go, even though it should be to the top. International wrestlers seem to be the way forward in WWE with Sheamus, Rusev, Paige, Finn, Kallisto, Cesaro(if they finally commit to him) so all in all... there's something very attracting about foreign wrestlers to me, and that is why I love those two, and I suspect that's why the dub do too.

Sheamus is a handy mid-card guy who, in the right scenario, can connect with the audience and be a really solid role-player. He's not a main event draw, though, and he never will be.
Del Rio, on the other hand, is quite possibly the biggest failure the company has had this millennium thus far. He has been given countless chances, been pushed to the moon, given the keys to the castle, and has flat out failed every single time. Part of it is him, part of it is WWE's inability to handle a hispanic athlete properly. I continue to believe bringing him back was a monumental mistake that will eventually prove to be a complete failure and waste of time.

I'm fine with Sheamus as long as he is in the midcard, but Del Rio....man that's a tough one. His pairing with Colter and this stupid Mexamerica crap is just...stupid, I don't know how I should describe it other than stupid....

I actually like Sheamus but not enough that I think he should be WWE World champion. I used to be a huge Del Rio fan but his return has sucked and this whole Mex-America crap is just that, crap.

I don't mind Sheamus. I could care less about Del Rio.

But being HHHs work out buddy and Vinces love of muscular guys really helps Sheamus and Del Rio helps with drawing the hispanic audience, remember Rey is 5'5 160 maybe and he was pushed hard years ago.

Because they're tall and big; a thing most WWE superstars lack these days.

Sheamus will always be around since he is Triple H's workout parter and he has size. Del Rio will be prominently featured since he's Mexican and they so desperately want a Mexican star.

Seamus is fine as a transition champion, I just wish that someone other than Reigns or Lesnar would take the title from him to propel themselves to the top of the card. *cough*Ambrose*cough*
Del Rio is garbage, though. The flipping armbar finisher is cool, but one good move doesn't warrant a roster spot.

WWE has a global market. Believe it or not, America isn't the only country that likes WWE.
On the other hand, I can't understand a lick of Japanese and that doesn't stop me from liking them.
It's a conundrum!

Because they're both failed stars that Vince refuses to admit he was wrong about. Neither guy can draw a dime and shouldn't be above the mid-card.
