Woof. Think I'm done with this line. Same problems as DCUC: no improvements with articulation, samebody, dropping the ball harder than $cam Newton with many new figures, repeating the same guy over and over and over again. And now this. Cool jacket, Mattel. Please leave

Gonna wait until I see the figure in person before I pass judgment.

Cool jacket, Mattel. Please leave I love how so many Mattel fan boys can't accept criticism. I'm seeing worse quality control, the wrong parts used and some scale issues now. This is what the majority of the people on here years ago TORE APART Jakks figures for. I'm a huge fan of Mattel's WWE figures but stuff that used to be must buys are now starting to be on the fence.

This is a still must buy...
Ya'll must not have grown up with BCA and TTL...those are garbage compared to Mattel. I dont know much about RAs and CS figures but I didnt like how they felt or the physiques. Mattel may not always be spot on, but they are much crisper/cleaner figures that dont look bloated

Look at Mattel and compare their figures to Hasbro and NECA. Now, NECA may be more detailed, but their QC is nothing compared to Mattel. Even when Mattel may drop a tad in QC, even though they've basically stayed the same level for their tenure as WWE figure makers, they are miles ahead of NECA or Hasbro.

I guess it's better to go on a tirade about figures, then buy said figures. These are $20 figures and a lot of posters on here want the same details and authenticity of a real doll.

Sting is my guy. I grew up watching him during WCW Saturday Nights.
I will not give my hard earned cash for this DM figure with hard plastic and terrible face sculpt. Mattel will NOT steal from me like they did previously. It takes me a good chunk of my work hours to earn myself cash for my figures. But if I give in like I did Hogan, I will be robbed for a sub-par product for a premium price. I work hard for my money and Mattel should have done the same. I will not pay them my money that I worked hard for.

I hope that Mattel still has time to change the boots. Just like they had time to change the beard on Razor Ramon. They said earlier in the thread that the first wave won't have fixed boots but then they will be corrected. So what does that mean? If I buy during pre order then they won't have the right boots?

If you pre-order you will get one from the 1st run which has the lace boots If you wait till retail you will most likely get one from the 2nd run and it will have the correct boots

By that I mean it hits retail nearly two or three weeks before RSC sends out pre orders. Nothing against RSC, that's just how things have panned out lately, with undertaker, sting, razor and Hogan. With the first sting especially, he started popping up in southern CA almost a month before RSC.

Likewise, I totally expect to see the DM Austin in stores in the next few weeks as opposed to the "late March" timeframe we were given by RSC.

I'm buying this figure the second I have a chance to, regardless. To me the boots aren't a big deal. I never would've even noticed them unless someone else pointed it out, and from what Bill said I'm glad he went the route he did with the jacket. As far as price goes, this will be on RSC for around $25. Correct me if I'm wrong but how much is RSC charging for their regular, elites nowadays? After shipping I know I've paid $30 plus for just an elite, so I'm not going to complain about a defining moments figure costing nearly the same. I don't post often because of threads like this exact one. Yes, we should all be able to voice our opinions and offer suggestions and feedback to Mattel, BUT damn it that line was crossed a long time ago and is now just blatant disrespect. Saying Mattel is garbage, or that they don't listen to fans, it's ridiculous. That's why Bill doesn't comment and get involved with conversations like he use to. If I were him I wouldn't want to read half the things we say about him either. Again, constructive criticism is one thing but this is all ridiculous.

What everyone, bill included, should remember is that the extreme negativity is a vocal minority, in this topic I'd say the good comments outweigh the bad, and that goes for every figure release, now times that by the the general consumer populace who aren't on here... To have such a vitriolic opinion of something so trivial is just bizarre to me. I'm all for constructive criticism when given with good comments too but some on here need to chill out. Bit like I said, 80% of people on here are rational and supportive of Bill. He should always remember that. Don't let the few bad eggs spoil it for the majority.

So Mattel have said there going to fix the boots for the second run so clearly they know there wrong, so how exactly did the figure end up with them in the first place?

So Mattel have said there going to fix the boots for the second run so clearly they know there wrong, so how exactly did the figure end up with them in the first place? Hard to tell who dropped the ball there, could have been a design oversight at first or the factory could've botched the first run. Either way they have been slipping more often lately and letting things like this slip through the cracks.
