His mouth is all wrong. The teeth and the shape of the mouth...all wrong. Shame. This figure looks horrific. Face is wrong Mouth is Wrong Jacket is wrong(Needed Cloth for DM) Boots are Wrong Price is Wrong This is barely an elite figure except with the DM price. What accessories? Any Champ belt? US TItle? Anything? Mattel did a awful job. I said it once and say it again. My hard earned cash will not be spend. Too much issues as stated above. I am the biggest sting fan and I THOUGHT I would buy anything from him, but this is an action figure travesty. Mattel insists on making popular character DM instead of including the necessary quality to justify it!  I think you know the catchphrase that goes with this pic. |

Too many complaints for stuff that has already been explained. The boots are being changed, chill. The jacket wouldn't have worked as a cloth jacket. This figure is excellent, and it is a deserving defining moment. It's the first Surfer Sting. Why won't the Jacket work? The tassels would be too thick, and there wouldn't be any tassels on the shoulders. |

It's the same thing as when people complained about the Balor torso. As much as I'd like the torso to be muscular, it can't be the way some people want it because of the way it's made. |

"Jacket being molded was an aesthetic decision based on the facts 1) Sting's arm streamers were much thinner and more numerous than Macho Man's. If I used a SG jacket he would have streamers the same size as Macho Man's, which I did not want (they have to be a certain size to avoid choking hazards, no way around it). 2) I would also have lost the epaulets on the shoulders. If I would have produced a SG jacket with wide arm streamers and no shoulder epaulets I would have heard the feedback as well I am sure." |

The reason was they couldn't do the tassels but to be accurate they'd be too small to clear US regulations as a choking hazard. |

Amongst all the bitching about the material used for the coat, has anyone pointed out that the Jakks USA Sting figure came with a cloth jacket, which doesn't look anywhere near as good as the molded Matty one, but for those who keep saying it's ruining the perfect figure, there's your solution - and it's a pretty simple, cheap-ish fix, there's a few on the Bay right now which will no doubt rise in price when people start snapping them up for the jackets.
