Somehow at 16 years old I'm 200 pounds. I took a six day break from last thursday to this past wednesday and I think I needed it. Oh and there is now no machine in Planet Fitness that I cannot do AT LEAST 150lbs on. Also started doing more work with freeweights. Wednesday was bicep and abs day, yesterday was shoulders (I actually forgot to do triceps so I'll have to do that today). So I guess I'm doing triceps and shoulders today. Leg day is tomorrow, that's my favorite actually.

On pulldowns it's somewhere around there.

I used to play basketball for my cardio basically my whole life. I can't stand cardio machines. But when Kobe died I lost all passion for basketball. I've tried playing a couple times since then but I just don't enjoy it anymore. Today's the day I bite the bullet and start doing cardio machines, I'm gonna hate every second of it but I've got like 10-15 pounds of fat I want to get rid of. It might actually be less than ten. There isn't much covering my abs, which is nice because I'm sure I have insane abs with how strong I am. I'm honestly just ranting here but I've got nowhere else to talk about this stuff.

I just went through this whole thing and went from probably 15% body fat to 10% now. some people have to get lower than that for their abs to show but i got lucky.

Didn’t know this forum had a health thread, nice. When I met up with randoms trying to purchase the AEW figures at Walmart in August I noticed a pattern, we were all neckbeards that were overweight. Since that day I have been pushing to get back in shape. I have increased my move goal on my apple watch from 600 to 1270 calories per day now in September. I’m down 20 pounds, my goal is to be around 175 and healthy. I’m currently about 280, starting weight 304. I walk at least 5 miles a day and just started to light jog a bit. I also love basketball and want to be healthy enough to run up and down the court again. I had Chinese food last night for the first time in about a month and boy do I regret that. Woke up lazy with heartburn and my stomach was hurting. Damn you GENERAL TSO! Well I just knocked out 6 miles and feel a bit better but need to kick the cravings for crap food. Any tips would be wonderful from you guys. I know it’s not a sprint, but a marathon but sometimes you tend to forget that in the now. Good luck to everyone that wishes to do better.
Edit: I’ve been splitting my meals into 3 and sticking to fruit, green tea, pasta with no meat. Then for quick meals I got a few frozen meals (baked chicken with mashed, and stuffed peppers with white rice). I also have a multivitamin multi mineral drink everyday i take a shot of since my calorie intake is about 600-900 a day. Not to mention almost a gallon of water a day, that’s very important to mention.
Edit 2: If your a food addict and smoke 🌳, stop it. OR if you must do it outside before a workout! Not when your home chilling because you will succumb to the GENERAL or whatever your mind desires lol, at least for me.

Not when your home chilling because you will succumb to the GENERAL or whatever your mind desires lol, at least for me. you're definitely on the right track. I'm not a nutritionalist so speak to one before taking my word, but my suggestion would be to continue that fitness level and caloric intake until you've dropped to about 240 or so, and then add more calories from the right healthy types of food and add some moderate, not intense or really heavy, weight lifting. a lot of times people losing weight will be really successful initially but then stay on a massive calorie deficit and lose significant muscle in the process. the idea is to reduce the fat but hold onto as much functional muscle as possible.

There are ways you can have healthy versions of chinese food by doing it yourself, I usually make my own orange chicken, sesame chicken, general Tsos, the international food aisles in the super market have sauces and marinades that you can make your own. Pair it with fresh vegetables, and it's pretty good. I do that every couple of weeks making different meals. I've been drinking unsweetened teas, water, eating a lot of nuts, hummus, guacamole, plenty of exercise.

I was at 6ft and 222 lbs I started bulking when I graduated the Correction Officer Academy 6 months ago. I was at 205 when I started. I started shredding week ago to lean out my mass. I gained some belly fat with the gain in muscle, but I been back to lifting 3 times week and doing atleast 1 intense cardio session followed by 2 light cardio sessions a week. Also reduced my caloric intake from 2,300 to 1,700 gradually. I’ll be ideally where I want to be body fat wise most likely by Christmas or less. We’ll see what this shred does for me.

UPDATE: So to finish September I was struggling with my diet and as I was craving carbs and sugar, the General got me 4 days in a row to end the month which stalled me at 280 to end the month even with increasing cardio.
Since October 1st I made the switch to Keto. Yes, I know. I got sick a few days back almost felt like dying and passing out walking back home from a 3 mile out walk. I since purchased electrolytes from Buoy, and I drink a gallon of water for sure everyday, and squirt a bit of electrolytes in a few cups a day.
Ive been eating salad with a little bit of dressing only. Ive got Keto tortillas [taste the same seriously, its just less carbs] I make tacos with ground beef and cheddar cheese. I have rotisserie chicken. [also have a sugar free bbq sauce which is ok] I have Chinese food chicken with broccoli, beef with broccoli, chicken sticks, even terriyaki chicken with no rice[it was in carb limit but barely] I eat string cheese, I have whipped cream for a sweet if I need one. I have eggs in the morning with swiss cheese, can use butter its actually preferred. Green tea w. lemon /flax seed [flax seed for omega 3 fat]
I lost a bunch of water weight first week so I'm down to 266, but lets see what happens now that my body is actually adjusted to the keto. Will further update once available.

I haven't done my situps since Friday since I came down with a bad cold. I usually do 50 per night.

going for 500lb on hack squat next leg day (Monday). will be a bigtime pr and achievement for myself, considering where I started from and the lower back injury I have. at 180lb dry, it's a decent feat.

It's kinda funny in a way. You have a chronic lower back injury and can handle hack squats, I have a healthy back and find hack squats pure hell on my back but can squat normally until the cows come home.

Over the past couple weeks I've basically been consistently 198lbs. I got past 200 a couple times and was 203 for a day, but then two days after that I was 194. I want to pack on as much muscle mass as possible before I go to wrestling training in July.

I want to pack on as much muscle mass as possible before I go to wrestling training in July. so those kinds of minimal weight fluctuations are totally natural and have to do with how much sodium, water, glycogen etc your body is holding. for your wrestling physique goal, is it a lean and muscular look you're going for? if so, weight training, diet, and some cardio are your keys to success. if you need any help, myself and some others here can give you some pointers. best of luck in your wrestling preparation!

My ideal physique would be Randy Orton, he's like 6'3" 240-60lbs which is where I'll probably end up. I hit puberty late so I probably have a few more inches left to grow (I'm 6'0" now). I'm getting a ring soon so I can build up my cardio and get used to bumping again. There's a few muscles that I want to really bulk up. I want to build up my chest, biceps, triceps, and my neck muscles. I'm in decent shape but honestly not where I want to be. The only muscles I'm happy with are my legs and shoulders. If I did cardio at all I would have shredded abs easily.
