I am not a Kevin Owens fan, but I know many people on here are, and I feel really bad for you guys if Owens vs. Big Show for the IC Title happens at Wrestlemania.
After the Royal Rumble, with Owens eliminating AJ Styles, I really figured Styles vs. Owens would be set for Mania, especially after Owens won back the IC Title off Ambrose.
Y2AJ vs. New Day for the Tag Titles, and Owens vs. Show for the IC Title, are two title matches I don't care to see at Mania, and it looks like that is where they are headed.

Been thinking that's the plan since I first read last weeks Smackdown spoilers. It's a shame. Show should be in the ATGMBR.

Kevin will get some good promos out of Show and I'm leaning towards the possibility that KO is going to retire him, which would be a fantastic feather in his cap.

We all thought Reigns vs Show would suck and that ended up stealing the show. I'm actually interested in seeing where it goes.
Big Show can still go when he wants too.

Surprisingly, I want to see what kind of match those two can put together. While maybe not the best option, it's something that feels fresh and different. Look on the bright side, Owens will probably get a win a WrestleMania.

I've always loved Show and think that he has plenty left to offer. As far as giants go he's arguably the best wrestler of them all, he's probably the most underrated talker they've got (This guy can get the crowd behind him or turn them against him with ease), and despite what everyone says, he's still actually worth something to the company because he's almost consistently over, especially as a face. I think the two would play off of each other really well. Owens would definitely benefit from the win of course, but I'm looking forward to see how this goes.

2) AJ is going to be against Jericho in a retirement match. Jericho will attack AJ. THe turn is inevitable.
3) Booty
4) Owens will have his Mania moment of Pop Up Powerbombing Big Show

Yeah, I'm thinking Show puts over Owens in a whatever match, but doing whatever he can to make sure Owens hits the greatest pop up powerbomb he possibly can on someone Show's size.

I didn't really want AJ/Owens, because one of them would have to lose, too early for AJ to lose that big of a match, and Owens is just getting some momentum back.
Show had a great match with Reigns at Extreme Rules last year and some decent ones with him on RAW. I fondly remember the Show/Henry and Show/Sheamus matches from a few years ago.
I'm actually curious to see what this one brings. Either Owens gets put over pretty huge, or Show gets a nice Wrestlemania moment if this match happens.

He doesn't want a big build up or a celebration or anything. Just one day he'll decide no more and that'll be it. Plus enough AJ vs Y2J matches for a while. Also booty. |

I'm not sure where the IC Title picture is going. Sure they could go Owens vs. Big Show, but Ziggler and Miz on a promo were building up something with the IC Title. I think even Ziggler mentioned the IC Title, so we might see another multi man match for the IC Title.
I would much rather have AJ vs. Owens with AJ winning the title, but they seem to be building up to one more AJ vs. Jericho match, which the third match between them should have happened at Mania instead of Fastlane. All they had to do was have Jericho continue to deny AJ's challenge to a third match until AJ does something to make Jericho snap and accept the challenge. If they did like this, I'd be excited for AJ vs. Jericho. Now, I really don't care and want both of them to move on to different thing, like AJ facing Owens and Jericho facing someone like Wyatt (I know, it happend before, but who else is out there?).
Sorry I was off topic. Anyways, I really hope Owens vs. Big Show happens at the March to Wrestlemania and then somehow they could build up a better match for Owens in the few weeks they have between the RAW after and Mania. Nothing wrong with last minute matches being added at Mania, it's happened at Mania many times before.

Big Show is an afterthought now. Owens is above him in terms of popularity and importance on the card. There are many other deserving people to face Owens (i.e. Zayn, Wyatt, Neville, Styles, etc...) 2.) The match would be an absolute trainwreck and knowing WWE, they would probably bump it to the WrestleMania kickoff. 3.) The Big Show isn't jumping up high enough for a true PopUp Powerbomb. If they do attempt it, it will be an awful Botchamania type moment. BRING UP SAMI ZAYN AND END THIS SHOW/OWENS NONSENSE!!!! |
