My idea wouldn't be critiques on RP's though. The replies wouldn't have to go through everything looking for things the author did well and things the author did negatively. For the most part it would just be general replies, they wouldn't have to be longer than a few sentences. (Definitely not a paragraph or a wall of text) It could be questions on plot or narrative, remarks on the direction of the story, or simply things you liked about it.
I feel like this plan could work and could help bring more energy to the board. Critiques would still be welcome for those who wish to do them. But those that are uncomfortable in doing so, can reply in more general terms.

No one is saying these responses have to be in depth literary critiques - hell, I'd prefer they weren't because regardless of how pretentious some people try to make their writing here, we're an e-fed, not a blinkin' book club. There's room for everyone, whether they want to completely eviscerate someone's usage of the word "induce" or whether they just want to tell Trevor that it's super cool that he continues to try and have fun here, to respond more frequently in some fashion. No matter how you spin it, requiring it is never, ever going to work. |

Easter Egg Hunt: I did a Dead Idol roleplay that was a straight copy & paste of an old EBR roleplay, with his knowledge, when I was getting bored with Dead Idol. I won the match and no one ever picked up on it. lol I remember that. I was skeptical whether the owners at the time were even bothering to read the RPs. That pretty much confirmed it. It's a pretty big red flag when one of the owners was the owner when I originally wrote it and the other was my opponent for said RP. |

I have a really bad tendency of reading RP's but not replying... or reading halfway through one and getting distracted. That said, I'm quite proud that I got around to everyone this time around I believe. If I didn't get to you, lemme know and I'll give it a read.

I can't tell if this is an April Fools joke or not. Nope. I'm working out a return date with the guy now, sort of filling him on how Drakz and Trace operate timetable wise, the you pick when you're booked unless you make a prior agreement booking, stuff like that. Guy is a WFWF original but I'd say he's not been here in over a decade because he acknowledged he remembered seeing FLAPS as owner, so that's easily maybe 13 years ago. The only people here I think that would know him/have seen his work are Brennan, E and maybe Drakz and Schneider going by length of time here, but if you've seen any of our records he's a name you'll recognize. |
