Ah. Either way, whenever I drink a soda I feel like my teeth are dissolving. That's not just intuition - they are. I'm not even a health nut - I've been craving a Dr. Pepper for two straight months but sometimes you gotta do what's gonna keep you walking the earth a bit longer. Sounds like I need to drink more soda. |

Thinking of adding another side character for flashback purposes in Makoto's future RPs, possibly a crotchety grandfather. Time will tell. Supporting characters are fine and dandy, almost a necessity to avoid your work becoming too monotonous, but be warned against the flashback trope. At times it's a useful tool to harken back to a previously abandoned story thread or to establish some bit of character history, but it has been done to DEATH around here. That's not to say never do it, because again, at times, it's useful, but I think I could probably count on one hand the number of writers who used it on a regular basis to an effect that was anything more than nauseating. |

Looks like it. He did leave himself an out though, with the whole "no body was found" thing. You know what I'll never get? Why so many people f*cking off their characters when they get fed up here. I've been rp'ing off and on for fifteen some odd years and I've seen this happen over and over and over again. It's always, always, always the deep end, final resolution to things not working out in their favor, to boot. What ever happened to just up and walking away with your dignity slightly bruised? |

As an additional trope to tack onto the already tired "so and so is dead" trope, how is it that all the untimely deaths within the WFWF always occur in areas with the least journalistic integrity? Seriously - every time it's "so and so is dead and Joe Blow is wanted in connection".
Ok? Go find the most recent murder in your town. When is a suspect EVER named in the same breath used to break the story? NEVER. The authorities play that sh*t close to the chest every time - all a media outlet naming a suspect is going to do is tip them off.
