Anything by Chuck Palahniuk is the tits. He thinks of the most outrageous stuff and puts it on paper. His ever changing writing style is something that I tried to emulate and rip off. I think Pygmy is my favourite of his. The way that book is written must have taken f*cking ages. The last few novels I read were: Cormac McCarthy - No Country for Old Men Kurt Vonnegurt - Breakfast of Champions Any Weir - The Martian I also just recently finished an amazing book on Post Punk bands between 1978 and 84. Nothing to take from it in terms of writing inspiration but bloody hell I've bought a lot of new records. As far as my RP? I've still not even finished one scene lol. I need to try and hammer the rest out after dinner otherwise I'm f*cked. I've just finished my old job, been on a trip back to my Dad's to introduce my new girlfriend to the family, celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday, set up the venue for the reception of my best friend's wedding and then yesterday be the best man for said wedding. I just got home and realise now I shouldn't have signed on for a match this show haha. I'll do my best boys but don't be surprised if I turn it in tomorrow if you want a competitive piece from my end.

Lol I kept putting it off and putting it off after I came back from Vegas. Yesterday my pals were having a LAN party that I went to but once I got home from that I was like "I need to work on this thing now or it's not getting done." So I stayed up til 5 AM working on it despite having to wake up for 10. Hence why when I get home from work I'm gonna give it a bit of a proof read before tossing it up. Haha.

Just wondering, what happens if all the people in a match no show? Good question: if a match happened to have no roleplays and either person could not drop a line that says "I can't RP" -- as a former fedhead I'd find a fun way to write them off. I wasn't a very good fedhead.

And if I were writing the match I would have some sort of non finish like a double DQ or double count out. Just find a way to have no finish without potentially alienating the person from ever wanting to participate again. In a perfect world it would be nice if people admitted they weren't going to be able to show though.

It would suck for someone to write a match only to have it dropped from the show because no RPs got posted.

When I was around, if I had an angle I wanted to progress that made my character look strong, I'd always use a double no show as an excuse to smash two characters. Figure, a no show equals a loss, neither showed, so while neither technically "loses", they're not gonna look strong. I'm kind of an ass hole, I think.

Ehen I write matches, I generally take no shows into very large account. That business with whoever it was that I made a late run in last show was taaaaaaaame.

In a perfect world it would be nice if people admitted they weren't going to be able to show though. It takes extreme circumstances for someone to not be able to PM the fedhead and say "I ain't showing, I'll be back or I won't be back etc." Hobby or not, this is a time sink. It takes time to rp. It takes a lot of time to organize and polish a show especially if you have to tie together multiple people writing matches all differently. You're right. Sometimes people dismiss a chill situation like this but we all know that all actions have consequences. one person may not have time to drop a line and that wastes someone else's time that now has to maybe rewrite a match, scrap something. If someone wants to be able to just dip in and out without effecting someone ... Writing social groups are the worst to join.

So I think I got to everybody. Looking at the card, we've only had a full showing for one match so far, which is a little disappointing. At least some people have been vocal about the fact that they'd be late, etc., but some of the names are real let downs, at least to this guy.
I'm leaving the triple threat match incomplete following the entrances until the second deadline extension passes. Writers - help me help you look good on screen!

I was so excited for this semester.
Then, today on the start, three assigned books of over 1k total pages to be read in full, three corresponding papers and three analysis assessments due Thursday.
And that's just one of the classes. Two 500 page plus books, to be read in full, and two 20 page .5 font analysis essays due Sunday.
This is going to be every week until the middle of December.
They do know we're humans, right?
If we can push SuperBrawl to Christmas that'd be grand.
