WFWF General Discussion 2006: L.L.L.B.D.™'s Cattle Drive

I'm tapping out for the night on the award show. I've been putting more attention on it than I should have been for the past day or so, which I tend to do with whatever hobby I'm most actively pursuing in times of strife. If time were any sort of friend to me, maybe I'd have a decent song or two under my belt, but I'm kind of a sh*tty songwriter.

Kids, if there's someone out there in your life who's waiting on better days, go on over and be a friend to 'em. As you get older, you might have a tendency to distance yourself from the drag down sort of sh*t that you figure you don't need in your life, and a lot of times that comes with dumping some of the people who've crossed your path sometime down the road, but no matter what piss poor decisions they may have made in life, the moment they're gone, if not maybe a day or two later, if you've got any sort of good left in your heart, that sh*t's gonna hurt something fierce, man. I've wronged a couple of people in my life, and I felt the burn of that guilt something fierce when I finally pulled my head out of my ass, but man, stupid 18 year old sh*t like parading the whore you're calling a girlfriend at the time in front of the high school flame on her first visit back from college won't ever haunt you like the self doubt of wondering if something as arbitrary and seemingly pointless as a f*ckin' comment on Facebook could have saved a life.

Seriously - we all know someone hurting in one manner of another. Call them up - it can be awkward and uncomfortable as all get out but I'd wager it's a whole lot easier than sitting in your easy chair sucking down coffee brandys wondering if this is somehow all your fault.
