lack of tattoos? what is the reason?

Jericho is missing his tattoos because they are all copywrited images of band logos (Metallica, Iron Maiden etc) Mattel would have to get their permission to use them and probably pay them for the privilege.

I was wondering when we would get a new tattooed Jericho but apparently his new tattoos are copyrighted material so Mattel cant reproduce them.

I know one of his tattoos is the Rolling Stones lips logo, not sure about the others but music related, im sure others on here can say what they are from.

Someone had created some decals a while ago on here that might be the only way to get an accurate current Y2J

Iron Maiden's Eddie and Metallica's Lady Justice.

There are ways around the copyrights, though. They could at least use an approximation of a similar shape without violating any IP rights, like Jakks did sometimes with Punk's Pepsi and Cobra tattoos.

Would people want that or do you think it's better to leave it off entirely if it can't be totally accurate?

Yeah Jericho has Iron Maiden, Metallica, Rolling Stones and Helloween logo's he's also got the loch ness monster with Gene Simmonds face paint. Im not sure what he's got under his arm these days it looks quite red though.

As others have said, Jericho's tats are MOSTLY copyrighted. I think they could get away with Lady Justice though. After all, she does predate Metallica by a few hundred years. Modify the pose slightly so it's not a direct representation of the album cover and you're golden.

When it comes to Enzo I can see at least two things. One his warrior tat on his arm will either not be there or maybe they will do a fix since the w is the wu-tang clan w. and I can see them fixing his life tat on his stomach since the i is a bullet. I'm hoping each one will just have a reg w and i. I've never been a big fan of the jakks style fix. I mean I remember thinking how dumb it was to have just a red circle on his arm for the pepsi tat. But for Enzo I feel like just sort doing a custom w, and i, with the same style of those tats would be perfect. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

They apparently leave some off because of budget, too. The Signature Series R-Truth from 2014 has writing on his ribs and abdomen that have been omitted from releases after that.
