First rule of collecting wrestling figures.... you don't talk about collecting wrestling figures.
But honestly, I don't really have any rules. I just buy who I like. If that means every Warrior figure and only 1 set of LOD figures, than that's what I am doing. I know some people have to have every figure of certain guys, and I get that. Or they have to have every figure ever released, and that's okay too (if ya got the money to do so).
For me though, it's just I buy what I want. And as long as I am happy with it, then its cool!

1) Elite Cenas that come with a cloth shirt
2) Ultimate Warriors in his trunks attire. No singlet Warriahs.
3) Dont buy figures of guys I dont like

I don't have set rules I go by. I just don't buy divas at all and I'm gonna stop buying managers too. I also only buy a select few basics to convert to elite.

I don't get anything if I know there will be a better version in the near future, example: I passed on basic new day once I knew elite versions were inevitable.

My rules are pretty simple:
1. Elites only
2. Only one of each wrestler I buy. The exception is if a newer waaay better version comes out (i.e. e39 Bulldog is an upgrade from Legends Bulldog).

1) Any Randy Savage
2) Anyone who had a Hasbro
3) Most elite flashbacks
4) Never over retail price
5) No Divas
6) No main roster guys unless they're someone who I'm really into, like KO

1) I only basics if they are on sale, unless it's a Diva.
2) I only order Ringside Exclusives during their Wrestlemania or Black Friday Sales
3) I pay retail prices for Elites (no pre-order or scalper prices)
4) I buy multiple figures of a wrestler if it's a major character change or from a different era
5) I buy figures when I can afford them (bills, shelter, and food first) and try not to use my credit card when buying them unless it's online ordering

1) I prefer Elites, 98% of my gets are Elites. I will buy basics of suited characters (J&J Security) and Divas.
2) I LOVE THOSE SHINY BELTS. I will buy a fig I don't like if he comes with a belt I don't have. I have the Hardcore and WWE WHC non-shiny because thats all there is.
3) I go out of my way for RSC/TRU/Target exclusives (I missed SES Punk, I've regretted it since). I feel bad for people out of the US that pay ridiculous prices for them because of customs/shipping.
4) I have enough Cenas. 5, I think. They're sneaky, they put a few in with BAF series so I had to get them.
5) I won't pay absurd prices. The most I've payed for a fig was $40 for E20 Jericho, and the same amount for E17 Kelly Kelly. Both from ebay.
6) I open most for display, and keep the "important/ rare" figs MOC.
