No thanks. I'm not gonna give up what it would take to trade for him, especially in-division. FA is is another matter, but I'd still rather take a run at Machado and wait for Trout. He's a FA after the season. I know, which is why I wouldn't trade for him now. If you can get him for cash in free agency? Fine. If we have to give up 3-4 of our top prospects (at least) for a potential rental? Hell no. But still, I'm more interested in throwing money at Machado and more pitching than Harper.

The Yankees should sign Hanley Ramirez and put him at DH for the 3+ weeks that Judge is out. No thanks Maybe, but I would only put him in the lineup in games at Fenway and Yankee Stadium.

And then we'd hit his pitches over the fence.

I never knew who Joe Kelly was before that fight. I take it you’re a Red Sox fan however. Stone Cold Tyler Austin’s legacy will live forever

Lance Lynn =Jaimie Garcia 2.0
Not sure about the rationale behind this move. And trading Warren makes your pen shorter.
Odd moves. Hopefully Cash has something else up his sleeve before the deadline.

I'm guessing they will finally bring Kahnle up. Warren isn't bad at all, but I'm not always comfortable when he comes in. So you know, when we play Seattle in the Wild Card game, he can come into the game 6th, 7th inning and we can put the game on ice.
I'm more skeptical of the Lynn deal. Sure, he's given up 2 runs in 11 innings against Boston this year, but what about his 5.10 ERA? Sounds like adding another Sonny Gray. What are we going to do with him, put him in the bullpen? We've got 5 guys in the rotation now, unless something is brewing with trading Gray.

Probably going to be big moves today. I can see Archer on the move to the Yankees. I feel like a team is gonna dump their farm on Harper today.

No one should dump their farm for Harper. I don't think they will, either. IF it happens, I think Washington would be settling for a lot less than they'd like. Frankly, they probably should get what they can.

Phillies stole Wilson Ramos from TB. PTBNL or cash considerations. Ramos is batting .297 with 14 HRs, 53 RBIs. Phillies catcher corps have collectively bat .244 with just 10 HRs.

Machado, Brach, Britton, Gausman, Schoop. All gone. They also DFAd Chris Tillman.

I’m surprised the Rays let him go for what little we gave them back, especially for an All-Star. Missing out on Machado sucks, but I’m happy with the moves they made. Now if they could just end their losing streak that would be nice.

The Yankos have a championship 6man rotation with Severino/Sabathia/Tanaka/Happ/Gray/Lynn, while the Rays dont have a single starting pitcher on the roster.
