I'm thrilled for Mo that he got 100%, but I'm also very surprised he did. Given the history of voters, I can't believe they voted a reliever as the first person to get 100%.

If Mussina is in the Hall of Fame, then Curt Schilling shouldve gotten in too.

Awesome for Mariano but it's definitely crazy that no one had got 100% yet. I'm guessing it's just a combination of stubborn writers/writers who probably had a personal problem with said player. Guys like Cobb, Ruth, Musial, Aaron, Mays were certainly worthy of 100%. Jeter might make a run at 100 next year.

Eh I dont't think Jeter will get 100%. People won't vote for him because unlike Mariano he's not the best player ever at his position, and that would make two Yankees players with 100%, etc. etc.

Griffey was ONE VOTE from being the first unanimous. ONE PERSON voted no, just so he wasn't first.
But Mo is as deserving as any inductee to any pro sports Hall.
M's re-sign Ichiro.

Oh I stand corrected. I thought he was one vote. Either way, he should have been 100%.

Roy Halladay going into the HOF with no team logo out of respect for Toronto & Philly.
What is this weird mist in my eyes?

Roy Halladay going into the HOF with no team logo out of respect for Toronto & Philly. What is this weird mist in my eyes? He shouldve went in as a Blue Jay I actually agree. Roy even stated he wanted to go in as a Blue Jay. However, this was his family's wish, and I can understand why. Personally, I'm just glad he got in, and we get another chance to celebrate his career. Watching him as a Phillie was some of the most fun I've ever had as a sports fan, and his death hit me about as hard as any other athlete or celebrity (barring possibly Eddie Guerrero).

Will Philly retire #34? They seem to be very picky about retiring numbers, but Roy H did deliver some epic moments for them.

A number of players have worn #34 since Halladay, and I don't think they would've had he gone in as a Blue Jay, but now... I think there's at least a decent chance. I'd like to see it. If anyone deserves it, Roy does. The impact he made on the team and city in such a short amount of time is incredible.

Those 3 guys were probably Cincinnati reporters who kept seeing Griffey on the DL

Saw Moose was going logo-less on his cap. Understand the decision but wish he would have went with the NY logo. He played longer in Baltimore but I think most remember him as a Yankee.

Dodgers sign AJ Pollock, so that takes them out of the running for Bryce Harper, even though most of their OFs are really utility type guys (Max Muncy, Chris Taylor, Cody Bellinger, Enrique Hernandez)
