Nay. They announce a surprise replacement for Zayn, and it turns out to be the charisma/personality vacuum that is Cesaro... to say I was disappointed is an understatement.

I love Cesaro but sometimes I do find him boring, I feel the same about Bálor especially Bálor as you know what to expect and his attire is so boring unless he has the paint I know that's rich from me a Reigns fan but I think there are so many more entertaining small guys i.e. Ambrose, Rollins, Styles, etc. I think when a powerhouse does only a few moves it makes sense that's why I like Reigns.
Overall I do like Bálor and Cesaro and because the thread is about Cesaro I'll say he does deserve a push but he needs a bit more developing before then plus AJ and Reigns feuding will be great, save Cesaro for the end of the year or 2017.

I a fan of Cesaro and he's one of the best pure in ring talents the company has but I don't think he's a long term main eventer or World Champion. He's a guy the can mix it up from time to time in the main event scene to me kind of like Chris Benoit back in the day.But he should be used as a guy in the IC/US and Tag Team title scenes getting runs with all of those titles putting on great matches.
My ideal route right now with Cesaro would be to team him up with the hopefully soon to be signed Bobby Roode. Those two together would be a great tag team and would be alot like The Brainbusters back in the day.I would put the straps on them and give them a real long reign as champions.

Id have Cesaro take the IC Title off Miz ASAP and let him defend it every week like Cena did with the US Title. Let him run with it for most of the year (until about Survivor Series) to give it some presteige before giving him a shot in the main event, maybe challenging a heel champ at the Rumble.
If the WWE were really smart they'd realize they have the perfect chance to get fan sympathy for Cesaro. Turn Reigns heel. Cesaro becomes the #1 contender and during that time they could promote the return of his best friend, Tyson Kidd. Cesaro comes out and talks about how he's excited for his friend, and we then get a shot of the performance center and a beaten and bloodied Kidd on the ground. Roman steps into the frame, saying nothing and only smirking. They say Kidd's back on the shelf, and they have an instant blood feud.

He should for sure get pushed.
Sure he could use a manager and I would not expect him to win the WWE Title anytime soon but he should seriously always be competing for the IC and or US Title if not being in other upper mid-card feuds.

His ceiling, sadly, will always be what Dolph Ziggler amounted to. He's good enough to be the top guy, but never will be. Instead, I fully expect him to remain in that upper mid-card/pity main event matches that never amount to anything big in the long-term. Unfortunately, there's really nothing he'll ever be able to do to change Vince's mind.

Exactly this if he had someone to talk for him he could do well but they botched it with Heyman. Unless he's taking charisma classed now while he's recovering I don't see him going further than IC title or being a number in a fatal 4way for the WWE title. I think this is one of my biggest pet peeves with wrestling fans. Those that think charisma and mic skills are the same thing. Cesaro has charisma. you got what I meant though, so no damage done.

I say that as someone who has been watching wrestling during his entire WWE stint. He isn't even close to being good enough to be the top guy. Maybe when you watched him pre-WWE, he was a lot better or was more suited to smaller venues or something. But you haven't seen him in WWE. He's a tag team/midcard guy at best.
