WWE Hit With Big Lawsuit

Kind of sucks that Vince can keep making money off the guys but it is what it is. I guess it's kind of like how they can make DVDs of any wrestler they want and profit from it and they can't do much about it

It's not like they're creating figures and poster of the guy. It's footage that existed when he left the company. No different than it being on dvds at the time. He's gotta try to pay for his roids and crapty tattoos somehow.

WWE network is all i have cause Roman sucks.

Just read an interview Ventura did last November about his lawsuit. He won it in 1990 and it was about royalties. He's asked about getting paid from the network and he says he isn't. He also says he needs to ask his lawyer about it, since he'd apparently forgotten until the interviewer brought it up. I would assume two things based on this:

1. Vince and his TEAM of lawyers looked at all areas of the network before it was created to see if this type of lawsuit might be possible and how to fight it. Current wrestlers probably had clauses put in their contracts when they came up for renewal in the time of the Network to avoid this type of thing.

2. Jessie Ventura would be at the front of this charge by now if there really was a legitimate chance of winning this lawsuit, and he would definitely have a better shot at it than any lawyer Renee Dupree could afford.

Now, if we hear that Jessie has his name attached to this in a big way, the WWE could be in for a mess. I wonder, do any of the old American Gladiators get paid for the reruns they aired? That might be a closer example.

It's impossible for us to theorise as to what the result of a lawsuit like this would be without looking at the contracts these guys sign. If WWE lost this lawsuit though they'll potentially be having to fork out a ridiculous amount of money when you consider all the wrestlers who appear on the network.
