The whole "not deserving" thing is old. Nobody on this board would turn down an opportunity. If someone wants to leap frog you ahead of other people in their company for whatever reason I highly doubt anyone would say "well I know it's a high profile position and a boat load of money and exposure for my brand but you've had people here that deserve it more. Keep your money." You play with the hand you're dealt. She just happened to get a pretty solid hand. Can't fault her for that. It's no different than Paul Heyman accepting jobs at Studio 54 when he clearly wasn't qualified. An opportunity presented itself and hey you take it and do your best with it. If you're gonna bash Eva then you should bash the venerated Paul Heyman for the exact same reason. I think it's the mentality, perhaps outdated, that she and others would use the wrestling business as a stepping stone or their audition tape to stardom. So a lot of time goes in to make this product that is the performer and it's ultimately not to be fit the business. Like I said its outdated and silly. Eva Marie is for a different audience. Wrestling fans will never accept her. She's still awkward in the ring but she does have a presence. She's popular to people who enjoy the days of the bikini model and as well as fans introduced to WWE via total divas. That show is an abdomination to me but to deny than has made them money would be dumb. The example you used is barely comparable. Heyman has an undeniable passion for the business. Eva Marie looks like she's biding her time before she's picked up on her own spin off on E! (And why shouldn't she, she is great for that role)

No it's comparable. It's taking a job you aren't qualified for strictly because the opportunity arises.

So, Doobie's dead? Eh, who cares, he was on my block list, and Eva is dreadful. I say we lock this bad boy up! Over, finished, done, gone, out! Or the remaining Eva fans can still discuss about her. Doobie wasn't the only one who liked Eva, a lot of us do. You are entitled to like who you like and dislike who you dislike, and so is everyone else on here. And I personally like Eva Marie.

Thank you. This wasn't just his thread. Some people really do like Eva. And this thread has never, and is not hurting anyone.

I think the fact that she hasnt appeared anywhere on TV other than Total Divas (probably, because I dont watch it either) since the night after Wrestlemania makes her pretty irrelevant. Not being able to wrestle is one thing....... I mean Torrie, Stacy, Sable and several others couldn't either but they had actual storylines where they served a purpose. Her existance within the fictional WWE Universe because of a reality show about WWE Divas makes about as much sense as myself being on Real Housewives Of New Jersey despite not being a housewife from New Jersey.
Im just holding out for when she does actually get used. She is a heat magnet and if she was competent enough she could at least be used as a jobber so Summer Rae can take a night off.

I've said it before and I'll say again. I don't like her, she hasn't shown me she cares about the business. She hasn't improved enough to show anyone anything. Most the matches Ive seen her in she messes up at least once even with simple moves. She gets heat but not in a good way. She will amount to nothing more than jobber status.

That's cool.
Just kinda weirded out from people saying that she is comparable to Ric Flair and that she's the best wrestler. Can't tell if it's trolling.

I totally disagree with it as well. Just reading this thread, it gets close. Not everyone can be the best or the total package but the best needs be on the top. Espically with women's wrestling. For the longest time, women wrestlers have been considered jack off material or a piss break. 15 years ago, Lawler would have been all over Eva Marie making his creepy remarks. Nia Jax would have been out there as the Samoan Trailer Park queen or some crap. Women that could actually wrestle were given scraps while women who showed their boobs were given Wrestlemania matches. Even during the revolution we were still seeing two minute women's matches. Again Eva is okay. She has an amazing presentation but once she gets in the ring, she's still green. She seemingly forgets her character and is concentrating on aping the moves she learned instead of learning why she has to do them for the story of the match. NXT is failing her by becoming its own brand instead of developmental. It's a weird double edged sword.

Totally agree.

Eva will be back on TV in the next couple of weeks on NXT TV. Also, keep an eye out on that entrance. It's fantastic and being someone who was in the crowd at Full Sail, I was absolutely LIVING for the heat she got. She's gotten better in the ring, she needs more time working more live events and working against different competitors every night. From Asuka to Bayley, she can certainly hold her own. She's not as bad as people make her out to be. People just refuse to see she's trying. Hey, if you wanna jump on someone, jump on Rosa Mendes.

Eva attempts to get better, but Rosa on the other hand seemed to just got worse and worse each time she wrestled. I always though that the Eva hate on here was kind of like how music fans have Nickelback hate. They say they hate the band, but they still have songs by them they like, just they won't admit it to others. The Eva hate is the same thing. She really isn't that bad, just everyone wants to jump on board with the hate for her.

If that is true then the people that love her just like whacking it to GIFs of her T&A. My guess is that me making that assumption is just as reaching as saying that people "hating" on her is just dog piling. She is a victim of circumstance. She got pushed out there on the main roster and embarrassed herself and the women's division. It's only now she's developing as a character and worked and she has markedly improved. Her appearance at WM32 was a mistake. It did her harm. They put her on the good guy team. Imagine if even for one night like they did for Eva they put on the face team -- Bayley. What did Eva do to deserve a WM slot compared to Bayley who has been honing her craft for quite some time?

You're just reaching. You're trying to provoke an Eva vs Bayley argument. Do us all a favor and stop. You don't like Eva, and you didn't like Doobie. I see exactly what you're doing

I may think she's improved since her debut, although it may not be as good as an improvement as it may have could have been.

She really isn't that bad, just everyone wants to jump on board with the hate for her. I feel like you are just trying to see things your own way or you're trying to be different. She is obviously slow and clumsy in the ring, and she looks very fake. She is worse than any of the other girls in NXT. She's better than she used to be, sure, but she looks lost and unsure of herself. She doesn't know what she's doing. She's not a natural. She's stiff, and some of her selling is horrendous. Is it bandwagon jumping when people react to what they see with their eyes? It is what it is, man. She gets hate on here, and other websites, and at NXT, and even on RAW, because she is just bad. No male would be put on TV who wrestles that badly unless they were 7 feet tall (I'm thinking of the Great Khali, who I actually liked - sometimes.) No female who's that bad would be on TV unless she's hot. She is hot. Kinda fake plastic hot, but still hot. Other than that, though... I did see a lady named Faye Jackson on Ring of Honor last week, the Women of Honor special. It was her debut match. She wasn't hot, she was fat. And she look lost and was pretty terrible in her match against OBD. I might even say she was worse than Eva Marie! And she wasn't even hot! It was brutal.

She is tryin I will give her that. But she still looks stiff in the ring and looks like she is trying to see the move in her head right before she does it. She seems to have plateaued but she will still get a push and air time cause they want her to be a star. She is like the female Roman Reigns but with less wrestling ability. They wanted her to be a face but switched to heel cause she just gets instant heat. She should have come up in the Dana Brooke lackey to Charlotte role.
