As someone already said, the only reason this thread is getting so much attention (including from Mattel) is because Batista made a comment on it. It's just the usual celebrity worship a lot of people seem to buy into.
And I wouldn't be surprised if Mattel actually does something about this, either a running change or bumps up a new headscan for her on their list of priorities, again just because Batista commented on it.
Someone should tweet Batista a pic of the goofy smiling DDP headscan, maybe then Mattel will finally give us a serious headscan DDP lol.

It's still better than most of the Jakks divas scans. Those were almost all truly brutal.

We've done better I will admit. This is my favorite post from bill ever. And he didn't even need the iron sheik to make him humble What some of you don't realize is bill didn't hand paint everyone of these figures, he sent them to a factory to be painted... The sculpt is probably better than the paint job and the paint job on the denim isn't great either, but he designed it one way and it doesn't always come back the way he wants it to Why release it if it isn't great? Do you think bill got 30,000 Lana figures back from the factory and thought " well we just spent $20,000 on the molds and another $100,000 on making these figures but.... It's not my best figure I've made so I won't release it..." Thread needs to be renamed "Bill's funny response to Basic 64 Lana." Or arrogant response Come on man, that isn't necessary. The picture above looks fine to me, maybe the paint app isn't as good as it should be ? Does anyone have this figure in hand yet? The hairline is magnificently off, the eyebrows are too dark, the cheekbones are too fat, and overall, the face looks like a man. It's really, really bad. |

Im going to repaint her lips. Some of the sculpt didnt get painted and her upper lip would look fuller like its sculpted.

We've done better I will admit. I appreciate the honesty. Mattel gives us an amazing product every single year and there are without a doubt more figures that blow me away and are absolutely perfect then there are figures that leave a bad taste in my mouth. I guarantee you that on the next Lana, Bill will go above and beyond to fix the issues that we have with this Lana. Yeah its a bad figure, so don't buy it. You guys act like Bill doesn't care. I can tell that he takes alot of pride in each figure that is made and I appreciate all of the effort that is put forth even in the clunkers. Thank you mattel design team |

I thought the first Lanas were awful, they looked very static, boring and had the same problems as this one as far as lack of makeup is concerned. This one has a better outfit and ill deal with the tranny face. It looks better backwards for sure. |
