I didn't want to believe it, I order everything online but today I decided to click and collect. Figure after figure with a different defect. Samoa Joe's red shorts have bled onto his knee pads. His face has marks, his hands show markings from the shirt - how does that even happen? His shirt and hands aren't even close. Kevin Owens has so much damage I can't even believe. His eyes are squintier, smaller. I can't even tell which was Mattels original intention. His face is covered in marks and his shirt is missing detail from the Lettering. Kofi? He has SILVER marks. Silver. From his jacket? From his attire? On top of that, he had a black mark over his face. I don't see a problem with Owens eyes. They look like they are located and centered correctly to where the scans eye sockets are. Also you mentioned Samoa Joe, but didn't post a pic of him. I do see the other issues with Owens and Kofi though.

My neidhart had black/grey paint splattered all down the back of his right leg, looked like bird poop. Sanded it off and nail polish remover'ed it clean. Black marks on the back of his head. Beard has paint missing down the side.
Joe has an incredibly loose left hand, the black line on his right eye is too long making him look like cleopatra and the right boot has a manufacturing error where the sole sticks out underneath from not being glued properly to the boot so he doesn't quite stand right.
BP41 Charlotte has a blue smudge under her eye that won't come off at all, like the plastic is dyed rather than blue paint on top of flesh plastic. Glue splodge on right leg which I picked off lol and dirt/grease under tattoo on her side which came off with nail polish remover.
Both Joe and Charlotte have loose hips meaning wobbly/lop sided poses.
All 3 figs bought at same time. I could fill a whole page on QC crap.
But some never get anything wrong therefore it doesn't exist/isn't a problem.

Just return/replace with one you find from retail with better paint apps. I did, as noted I was there so I got to sort through each item. I took pictures of the worst ones - Owens - who I didn't preorder. I picked up two Joes, the best ones I saw. I had the poor guy at the till waiting so I didn't mess around. That Kofi with the silver was waiting for me though, which was abysmal. Couldn't miss taking a picture of it. |

Just return/replace with one you find from retail with better paint apps. This is what I do. It absolutely sucks to have to do it though. I have the nastys and neidhart on the way from Amazon, I do not want to have to go looking at retail to swap a bad paint app. Online is becoming pointless. |

I don't have E43 yet, I'm waiting until its cheaper, but a good friend if mine got them and they were all perfect, which legitimately surprised me.

I REALLY hope that the quality control is addressed in the SDCC Q&A again this year
I know Bill weighed in last year but right now it's at an all time low and I'm genuinely curious as to how he feels about it
Bearing in mind, it's not a criticism of his work, but if I was him I'd be peeved that I'm doing my job well, then when the product reaches the shelves, it looks like hell because someone further down the production line wasn't

It's not a critique of the product bill designs, it's an attack on mattel's QC standards. I'd say about 30% of figs I see on shelves shouldn't have been seen as fit to leave the factory. |

This is horrible. For the price we pay we don't deserve this. something has to be done at this point. It's beyond the just once in a rare while it's happening. I hate going to a store and having to looking and comparing figures to get the best one.
