I'm on the 5th episode so far and I'm loving it, on par with the first season so far if not better.

This season was great. I was hooked into each episode. I miss it already. Only took me 2 days to finish.

I just finally got done with season 2 and what a wild ride it was, that sceene with all the Demodogs in the junkyard was awesome! I cannot wait to see more from Stranger Things, I have a feeling Billy is going to play a bigger role in the next season, if I was that shadow creature that is the kind of dude I would possess!
My only thing with Stranger Things and it is not the show its self, but I do not get the love for Barb! there is like this whole fandom around her about how much people love her and I just do not see it at all!

I think fans like Barb because she is genuine. She's not some gorgeous model, she's thicker, nerdy. Plus she had the most sense to her. She wasn't taking Nancy's bs even though they were best friends. To kill her off 3 episodes in was bad enough, but the half assed explination to her death left fans wanting justice for her. I have yet to see Season 2. However I read a synopsis for each episode. I can't say I'm eager to renew my 'Flix account to see it. Season 1 was amazing...this one doesn't sound as great. All I can say is, I don't really like or understand the addition of Darce Montgomery. However he's hot as f and I don't mind looking at him. Though I don't know why he'd go on to another season.

Got two episodes to go; have been solidly impressed with this season thus far.
If they just did a different version of the first season that would’ve sucked, so i can see it for what it is.
Man did Paul Reiser get old! He’s great though. Hoping to finish it off this weekend.

I loved season 2. Dustin was the breakout character for me of the group. The kid definitely has some personality.

Great season. ep. 7 was the weakest episode to me, still didn't hate it as much as most seem to.
Very glad we are getting a third season, Hopper,Dustin, Eleven and Billy was the highlights for me.

I'm an 84. So most of my childhood (the arcade, comics, bike riding, etc.) was early 90s. My sister is 9 years older than me, though, and I grew up surrounded by 80s pop culture because of her. My parents facilitated this as well because all of my toys and movies/cartoons (clearance at the time) were mid-late 80s stuff. Thundercats, Star Wars (primarily ROTJ toys), Visionaries, He-man, Bravestarr, Willow, Legend, MASK, and on-and-on.
I also lived in the middle of nowhere Illinois and went to the same school from K-12 in a town of 1,200 people. So aside from all of my favorite childhood movies being reference material for this show, it's a hop, skip and a jump away from being set in my actual childhood. I can't stress enough how slowly time moves in small midwestern towns. Damn near everything these kids were seeing in Hawkins is what my town was like, even well into the 90s. So even with about a 5 year shift in actual experience, it's still almost uncomfortably uncanny, but euphorically nostalgic, for me to watch the show.

How many of you lived in the 80’s? I did. I was about the same age as those kids during the time the show is set.

This show is awesome. I was born 1982 and this show really brings out the nostalgia of the 80’s. Best decade ever.
I have 2 episode to go. I saw the first 5 episode by myself but then the wife got mad since I started to watch it before her.
So I started to watch it again from the beginning with her for season 2. Getting the kids to sleep early today and finish it off.

Is season 3 confirmed yet? If so, what direction do you think they’ll go? Also, the dude they cast as Billy was incredible. It is. They're looking to do 4 seasons, but Netflix is pushing for more. So far, it's been said that it's going to be weirder, and more character driven.

I’d hate for them to water down the product by continuing to do more seasons just for dollar bills.. what do you think? Yeah, I'd rather it end when it's supposed to than try to drag it out and potentially kill the quality down the line. Like Dexter.

I read that they want to do seasons 3 and 4 back-to-back because of the kids getting older. Apparently that's a conflict for Finn and Millie because of their work away from the series. How that plays out will probably impact the length of the show. The show has the Harry Potter ceiling on it though. We're not going to see these kids go to college. So the end game has to be set in stone. I want to say the Duffers did say in Beyond Stranger Things that they could realistically go 4 or 5. So I would think max 5 seasons.
Stranger Things with the Duffers has a Breaking Bad with Gilligan feel to it. There was a plan from the start and now they're meticulously following their outline. So I don't see them creating content for the sake of creating content. They just want to tell their story to the end.

The McFarlane Stranger Things figures are starting to hit Target if you're interested. I picked up 11 yesterday and found a Hopper this morning on my way to work (and subsequently canceled my B B order). Hopper DOESN'T come with a second head, as he just has the hat on and it can't be removed. He's awesome though. I think the likeness is much better on him than Eleven. Just be mindful of the paint apps, which seems to always be the case with McFarlane. The paint app on my Eleven's mouth is is shifted right and I didn't realize it until I got home and opened it.
