Does anyone know if Raw and SmackDown are going to look different next week? Red ropes, blue ropes, different stages etc?

I just hope they don't go back to two world titles. It's pure going around in circles if they do that.
The way I'd do it, is keep the IC and US titles on separate shows. Make those a big deal again.
Then, have the Women's, Tag Team and World Championship defended against an opponent from the other brand on the dual brand shows. Whichever brand it ends up on gets the title at least until the next dual brand ppv.
Might not work, but try it. Make the mid card titles important again, and make compelling feuds, and it won't matter. Adding titles just dilutes them further.

Confident we will see free agents sign for both brands but what about trades ? Wonder if based on the reaction they might trade some superstars? Or maybe something will happen at battleground ?
Im not sure what there plans are but maybe would be cool to trade all the women for all the tag teams and then have unique divisions on both? I suppose If Smackdown didn't draft any women it might of been sexist or something haha so maybe theyve got a big trade planned? Although not sure the Smackdown women match up to the raw tag teams and vice Versa so Im guessing no and that we will see new women's and tag divisions on Smackdown? Which could work still but would need a lot of time to establish and rebuild certain talents
Views on this ?

I could see any cruiserweight on SmackDown getting traded. Isn't Kalisto currently part of the SmackDown roster even though the Cruiserweight title is unique to Raw? It would make more sense that SmackDown drafted him if they planned to use him as trade bait maybe to reunite the Club.

I can see a returning superstar like Harper appearing on both brands before signing with one. I also see Braun stirring crapup over on RAW so Steph and Mick fire him so he goes to SmackDown. Hopefully at Battleground they'll announce Women's and Tag Team Titles are cross branded. As for trades, not sure who would switch. Cesaro wanted SmackDown but now is his time to step up as a big time player on RAW.

They should really find a way to get either Cesaro, Owens, Zayn, or Rusev on Smackdown. Probably Cesaro. He stands least likely to break out in the crowded upper-mid-card on Raw, whereas Smackdown is a barren wasteland just below the main event slots.

Now a couple of days removed, I keep looking at these rosters and realizing one key thing that I'm not sure has really been touched on all that much.
They placed all of this hype on the idea that Smackdown was going to be the "new era" show, that it was going to feature all of the underdogs, the guys who haven't been able to break the glass ceiling. They actually did the exact opposite of that.
The New Era is firmly rooted on the Raw brand, with the regressive heel commissioner. They've got the Cruiserweight division, they've got the stronger Women's division, they've got the stronger tag team division. They have, for the most part, a potentially clear path for upper-mid card guys to rise up.
Smackdown, on the other hand, is comprised largely of legacy acts (Cena, Orton, Kane, Ziggler, Del Rio) or older talent like AJ Styles, who has the clock working against him.
It's counterproductive. The management structure on Raw is going to continue to prevent the mid-card guys from breaking through the glass ceiling, while the show that is all about opportunity is quickly going to find that all of the guys they have have already had plenty of opportunities.

I can see storyline reasons for certain people going to another brand. I can see this Sunday, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn getting in a fight at Stephanie and Foleys office, and then in anger Stephanie makes their match a loser leaves RAW match.

It would be great if they had people become free agents, and traded superstars from time to time. Obviously this would be compelling TV, so they won't do it.

I'd like to see Cesaro get traded for Kalisto.

for Smackdown, this gives some singles wrestlers a chance to become stars... Apollo Crews Tyler Breeze Kalisto Mojo Rawley Fandango
if they can make "any" of them main eventers.. then they will have accomplished "something"
the same can be said for the tag teams American Alpha The Vaudvillians The Ascension
if you look at it the Heel tag teams on Smackdown are currently really weak.. The Uso's are really the only solid established main event team American Alpha can get there quickly, but they need to build the Heel teams up...

I wish before the draft they would have said as Champions, Joe, The Revival, & Asuka were off limits. And Nakamura & Bayley also off limits since they were number 1 contenders. That way it would make sense from a kayfabe perspective as to why they were skipped over for guys like Mojo.
Just a thought.

Whilst I thought the draft itself was kinda ok/average. The only thing I was hoping WWE may have done, is revamping the arena's, giving them a bit of a touch-up, maybe different ring rope colours instead of the usual 'all white' all the time, change the ring apron to 'smackdown live' instead of just smackdown!, also give the 2 show's fresh new theme music (you know their opening theme songs).
but I do miss the original draft though, you know, where the manager would pull out a ball at random, open the ball to discover the draft candidate's name.
