We're soooo close to having the mainstays of the 80s done. Just really need Valentine, Muraco, Gang, Hercules and Reed.

@shockwayne Please ask Bill the color he's planning to make Brutus Beefcake, and any chance we'll see a Greg Valentine later on? Ooooh , good questions You know it's funny, I legit hated valentine as a kid And not Dibiase hate, not "oh he is a good heel" kind of hate, but like x PAC heat kind of hate.... I hated watching his matches, he had a match every Saturday morning it seemed against a jobber and wasted 5 minutes of my life. He was talked about like he was tough and he probably was but he was so boring when all I wanted to watch was undertaker, savage, warrior etc But I really need a good valentine in my collection now, he was such a mainstay of the wwf and I love the guy at this point. Bring on the g.v baby You hated The Hammer???

Bring on the g.v baby I always enjoyed watching tag matches of the Dream Team. Valentine would start the match - always. You would typically hear that line in the commentary as well, "it takes him 15 minutes to warm up". By the end of the match, I'd say Valentine was in there 75% to Beefcake's 25%.

There are a ton of guys that I can appreciate more now as an adult, but one of my pet peeves is when people try to rewrite history and claim something like "Rick rude was my favorite wrestler growing up". No he wasn't. You didn't know what a "good worker" was at 8 years old. You didn't think hogan and warrior sucked and couldn't work. And this isn't an attack on you swagsuke, I'm just honestly curious if u liked Valentine growing up.

Gorilla almost always said that when calling one of Valentine's matches. That quote is one of those things that is burned into my brain now. Sort of like "I after E except after C" lol

Gorilla and Bobby were so good, I'd rather listen to them commentate on jobber matches then most of the matches today.

My older brother liked him and I always looked up to him so I liked who he liked. And you're right about the workers. I don't think many were sitting around in the 80's saying, "Damn.. Hogan's work rate is horrendous "

Especially during his Intercontinental Championship run. I felt he and Santana had great chemistry together and it showed in their feud. And I used to love when he would be a guest on Vince's show Tuesday Night Titans.

Man I love that rockers hart foundation demolition signature picture, so awesome
So to answer the question, yes I legit hated the hammer. I couldn't understand why a guy with what seemed like zero charisma was in the wwf, he didn't talk, his name was valentine and he had a heart robe but he was hideous looking lol, the commentators always said he had a strong punch lol but he didn't have any outrageous moves that would keep me interested so to me , the guy was basically enhancement talent. I only started watching around 87/88 so I didn't really see him tag much but mostly seen him wrestle jobbers as a singles competitor or wrestle superstars and lose
I liked the flashy gimmicks as a kid, I loved warrior, savage, undertaker, bulldog, Hbk etc.... I hated Owen hart because he was such a good heel which makes me love his work as an adult and respect his work even more .
Now as an adult, I appreciate valentine, I need him in my collection as he is a mainstay and I legit want his figure. Hopefully with the hearts robe . I feel like I should catch up on his older stuff, I miss the days when the wrestlers fought jobbers and then once in a blue moon they would square off against each other, man that made those matches so special.... It really was like blood sport back when I was a kid

I agree with Apocalypse that picture of the Rockers, Hart Foundation and Demolition is sweet.

Maybe we can talk up a Hammer figure? ;-)
The Body was tremendous. I loved his work with Ross and Schiavone too. I like Lawler, but he's probably my third favorite commentating partner with Ross (after Ventura and Dangerously).
Trying to think of some other "reasonable" Flashbacks. Maybe an HBK from 96-97? Syxx since Mattel seems to be getting various gimmicks of guys done quicker?
Really wondering if The Ringmaster release pushed back a Stunning Steve significantly.
EDIT: Thanks guys. I was so siked when those three teams looked like they were all gonna fight. I love getting the classic tag teams. Mattel can't ever do enough of them for me.
