Now just remember, kids! Jedi is both a singular AND plural term.. Eh, I'm 99% sure that Luke will die. He will sacrifice himself or something, after he reveals that Rey and Kylo are siblings. Something like that. My point is that Jedi is not a singular term and can represent 1 Jedi, 2 Jedi, or a whole herd of Jedi.. It's kinda like calling Chinese the Chinese's.. Chinese is both singular and plural and no need for. But for sake of argument I don't think Luke is going to die in this one.. Han dies in 7. Luke dies in 8.. They shouldn't just off the entire original cast within a trilogy. Now with Carrie Fisher actually being dead they need atleast one member of the OT around after this trilogy is completed.. And I had originally thought Leia would be that character that survived this new trilogy with Luke dying off in Episode 9.. Now I believe Luke will be around for the time being either as a Force Ghost or a Jedi. Not to mention any time "The Last Jedi" term has been mentioned it was in direct reference to Luke Skywalker.. In the original trilogy and in The Force Awakens.

Something like that. Before Carrie Fisher passed I would say that you are spot on......but now everything is different. Leia will have to die in Ep8 folks. They have said they wont digitally recreate her( correct decision) and its not like she just wont be in 9. No way that happens. I just don't see Luke AND Leia going in 8......and Leia HAS to go.

They can work miracles with unused footage.....Man I love the speculation. LOVE it. its gonna be a really fun ride into Ep8

A simple, effective title that breeds discussion and makes us all eager and excited for whatever they have in store...after TFA and Rogue One, I'm back onboard and loving it, almost as much as my good mate JokerFC!

This just blew my mind.
In Star Wars Tales #19, Han Solo travels through time & crashes on Earth. Han is killed in an attack by Natives, but Chewbacca lives & becomes the Sasquatch. 126 years later, Indiana Jones is tracking down the Sasquatch only to find the crashed Millenium Falcon & the body of Han Solo.

I'm just going to come right out and say the Han Solo movie. Looking like the cast of a FreeForm show cosplaying Star Wars. That's the easiest $15 I've ever saved. Don't explore the giant Star Wars galaxy with live action characters like Dash, Mara, Galen or Revan. Don't revisit Obi-wan on Tatooine even though Ewan is the perfect age for the role and everyone is already accepting of the situation. No. Give us this origin movie for a character that can never be duplicated, because why not.

I agree that the Han Solo movie is totally pointless and upsetting.. But I will say that the main cast is top notch and the directors are two of the most talented men in all of Hollywood right now.
I'll see it for Phil Lord & Chris Miller.. Honestly.
And to see Donald Glover play Lando.

No. Give us this origin movie for a character that can never be duplicated, because why not. While I agree with you in theory, I think there are some valid reasons behind why they've done what they've done. First, I think Disney has been testing the water to see how we'd react to Star Wars movies that don't completely hinge on what we already know. Sure, Luke, Leia, and Han were in TFA, but they were basically cameos. Rogue One was almost completely new. Since both of these movies have made an asston of money, I'd wager Disney will be more receptive to making movies that don't contain major characters but are still set in the Star Wars universe now. The Han movie had already been on the books and was in production, so why not make it at this point? On the Obi-Wan thing, I remember reading an article that had a few lines of an interview with Ewan where he said he was down for it, but the solo movie was shelved for the time-being. He said he didn't know all the ins-and-outs, but he thought it might be because Disney wasn't "done" with Obi-Wan yet. Which I think was his way of hinting that Obi-Wan might still play a part in Last Jedi or Episode IX.

Kenobi's upcoming appearance in Rebels will complicate a solo movie for him a touch I reckon....But Id still totally be into it.
Also I'm really looking forward to the Han Solo movie. I think it has tremendous potential. Rogue One was absolutely brilliant.....Disney know what they are doing. Kathleen Kennedy knows the score lads....just sit back and enjoy the ride.

I find the idea of the Han Solo movie to be kind of pointless and uninspiring. HOWEVER, I felt that about Rogue One, and I really loved it. So I am willing to give them a chance here.

I don't parallel Rogue One to Han Solo in any way. For starters, we didn't have a young actor trying to imitate one of the most iconic characters in cinema history. Not to mention, the characters we did know in Rogue One were brought back via cgi in their original form.
I honestly just don't care what their motivation was for doing it, which I'm sure was entirely financial. I would have been completely accepting of something like this in cartoon form. However, I'm just going to sit this one out. There isn't a single cell in my body that is willing to go into a theater and give anyone not named Harrison Ford an objective chance at being Han Solo. I'm not sorry about it either. I don't feel I should have been put in this position as a fan. This feels like the 1997 Royal Rumble and I'm being asked to cheer for "Razor Ramon" and "Diesel" as they walk to the ring.

The latest episode of Rebels was absolutely fantastic.
ISB Director Wulf Yularen took a bow in helping Thrawn unearth the imperial spies. This season of Rebels and in particular the way Thrawn has been written? Will cement Thrawn as one of the all time great characters in SW. I would also like to see Director Krennic, Admiral Motti & General Tagge turning up.
Just great stuff.

And Thrawn is just too bad ass. Hope he sticks around for awhile.
