Funny thing about our conversation dude, Disney announced today they will be using Carrie Fisher in Episode 9. Apparently they shot extra footage during Episode 8 filming and have enough to complete her arc.. They got permission from her estate to do it as well. linkWell that changes absolutely everything.....I'm even more intrigued now!!! I know right? So many out comes.. Some one mentioned on Reddit that it would be poetic for Luke Skywalker to see Leia for the last time the exact same way he saw her for the first time, by R2-D2 hologram. That would be really moving.

Just watched Rogue One for the first time as I bought it on Blu-Ray on my way home from work yesterday. Some thoughts. Positives: Scarif is ing gorgeous. 10/10 location. The ending was probably the best minutes of Star Wars period. I genuinely gasped when I saw Leia turn around, thought they would be subtle and just show her from behind etc. Jyn Erso wasn't completely unlikeable. Blind dude was cool. K-2something was hilarious. I could relate more to a robot than any of the actual cast. Negatives: I hate being told the planets name in the movie. Don't hold my hand, stupid movie. I'm not a child. I didn't much care for Jedah, I had no reason to feel sad when it blew up. The movie never really gave me one. Krennic was more teenage edgy than Hayden's Anakin. I genuinely thought he would off himself while listening to My Chemical Romance in his room. Jyn and generic good looking guy's death was just... Meh. Should've had Vader cut them in half instead. I thought the intro of the movie, with kiddo Jyn kinda sucked all sorts of ass. I feel like the scene tried to get me to feel, but it didn't succeed. Overall I thought the movie was enjoyable. There were a few moments that made me sigh abit, but overall it wasn't the worst 2 hours of my life. I don't regret the purshase or the time spent watching. I will probably rewatch it soon enough. But big plus for the locations in the movie, Scarif was genuinely one of the most gorgeous bits of land I have ever seen in a movie. Oh, and the CGI for Tarkin was super impressive, except for some mouth moments that were abit unrealistic. But man, technology is gonna be madness for this stuff come 2030 or something. Won't even need actors, just CGI everything.

When did Hayden start looking like Topher Grace circa That 70's Show?

I thought it was kind of lackluster. It gives me a feeling this movie will just be an hour or so long training montage, with some side stories for Finn and Poe, then a final battle between Rey-Kylo-Luke, Luke dies, the final Jedi blah blah, force ghosts of Anakin, Obi-Wan and Luke appear to end the movie. People love it, a few months go by, people hate it.

I think it's going to change our perspective of the Force/Jedi/Sith/LightvsDark completely!

That is how you lose casual fans in a right hurry. Jedi vs Sith, it's the way it's been, it's the way it always should be. Don't mess with that, Disney. Don't.

I do think, were going to start to see people stray from this idea of good vs. dark. I think people in this movie are going to realize that each side has its faults and it's not right choosing one side or the other.

Aslong as I get my blue lightsaber vs red lightsaber, with some black dressed dude wielding said red lightsaber, I'll be alright with it.

I honestly don't think the teaser was anything more than pieces of the first 10-15 minutes of the film. It's their Dagobah sequence. Daisy alluded to it being a "never meet your heroes" type of deal between Luke and Rey. So Luke has seemingly decided the world is better off without the Jedi and Sith altogether. Grey Jedi are practical. It's like people who are middle of the road politically. It makes sense not to be too crazy in one direction or the other. Kanan and Ezra have been Grey Jedi inside this universe for the last 3 years. Luke training Rey to be something different, something better, is the only way to end the war.
Rian Johnson is 100% going to explore the psychological side of the Force. What is right and wrong, and this idea of perception telling two narratives. George intentionally painted the Jedi as white knights and we've seen through the eyes of Qui-Gon, and eventually Vader, how that wasn't exactly the case. Batman always struggles with the idea that he created the Joker. That he drove criminals to take the next step. Maybe Luke feels the Jedi are responsible for the Sith, as we've seen plenty of Jedi become power hungry and turn to the Dark Side. So if you have no Jedi, you have no way for them to turn to the Dark Side.
I think this movie is going to be great. I look for it to be extremely heavy in dark undertones. We're going to see Rey with the weight of the Galaxy on her shoulders and potentially Luke cheering on the fall of the Force. I'm happy we have a guy like Johnson who will look to advance the mythology. JJ didn't really do any of that, nor was it his job. TFA was a vehicle to reaffirm that Star Wars can still be great. Now it's time to give us something special that's not the same as what we've seen before.

Yeah I wasn't thrilled by the teaser.
I mean I'm happy we got it and I'm ready for December but it was definitely underwhelming as far as teaser's usually go.. I honestly just want more Luke Skywalker.. Show us Luke Skywalker being the most powerful Jedi in the entire galaxy.. Show us green saber and him fighting with it.
I've wanted Luke ever since this Star Wars campaign started back in 2014.. And hopefully they deliver this time. Because even though I loved The Force Awakens, nothing was more disappointing than him showing up in the very last scene of the entire movie.
