This thread needs a couple pics.... Still hopeful that Cornette gets made by "some" random figure company one day... A travesty we never got that Jimmy

Check out the Hogan 86 and the 90s WCW championship kids size toy foam belts. Man I wish they actually released those. This whole picture is pure awesomeness.

I don't know why they started making new BCAs in the mid 2000s. It felt like they were just kinda taking a step back. I know that most were released at Family dollar for like $5. I'd rather have spent the extra $2-$3 for a TTL lol.

This makes me wish that Mattel would make something similar to BCAs

It still blows my mind that we've never seen a Linda McMahon figure.

New BCA APA Bradshaw: New BCA APA Faarooq: Too bad we didn't get those BCA figures of Bradshaw and Faarooq in ring rear as part of the APA. We only got two shirtless figures of Bradshaw as part of the APA: 2-pack with Test (Ringside Rivals Series) 2-pack with The Undertaker (Final Count Series 5)

In all seriousness why wasn't TTL Bulldog, Dean Malenko and RTC Venis released?
They would've been hot figures, especially the Bulldog so it makes zero sense that they don't bother releasing them.

I loved the original BCAs but the new ones were just not doing it for me. To me, it's hard to recapture the magic when time has passed. Just like when RAs came out and they tried some new TTLs. It's like why? Lol. The Jakks LJNs were a HUGE nope for me as well lol. Now I know Mattel is doing Hasbro style....I'm split on them. I think enough time has passed that they can be looked at as nostalgic, but there is a possibility they could bomb lol.

Does anybody have a higher-resolution image of this page in this magazine? I included the magazine cover it's from (WWE Magazine: New Year's Special 2007) in the original photo. I'd like to see a clearer/large shot of this particular page to archive the prototypes, as they look to be source files we can't get otherwise. That Funaki in particular was only shown here.

Whoa! I have never seen that Funaki prototype ever before! I was a regular on the forums all that time too, was there ever a Taka prototype? And which set was the Funaki rumoured for?
There were also a few line ups which never saw prototypes which got scrapped. I remember hearing a BCA series 10 was planned, and a double slam series 6 (only one I remember from DS6 was Stephanie and Shane).

While I never planned on getting Pat Patterson, like how could you NOT release him? They made Ernie Ladd, Andy Kaufman, Jack and Gerry, Luna, Harvey Whippleman, Abe Schwartz for Pete sake!!! How could you make all those but not Pat Patterson. Anyone remember that CS "survey" Jakks set up at one point? It had at least a hundred names. You checked off if you'd buy them or not. I remember seeing Slick and Cyndi Lauper on there. Lots of great names that never got a chance. Still no Patterson though. Oh btw Arnold Skaaland? Who the heck would have bought him anyway lol. Im late but that survey is still up www.ringsidecollectibles.com/classicsurvey2.htsome of the names got released like hulk hogan yokozuna, the genuis etc. and there were some odd ones on the list like mike tyson, pete rose, lawrence taylor it makes sense because they were in teh wwe for one time but we don't need figures of them come on and arnold skaaland did get a prototype released like you said but it never made shelves
