I don't like the guys antics but I was just thinking about how dismantled a world-class fighter like Alvarez is still shocking. He made it look so easy. Silva in his peak like almost. He was sharp and precise. I gotta hand it to him, I was honestly impressed. Still don't like the guy, but he is really living up to his own hype.

He looked so damn good last night. I'm interested to see what he does now that he's the man in two divisions. Definitely think he should defend the FW title first.

Weather you love or hate him mcgregor is going to be a legend. Agreed 100%. Even Dana said himself that McGregor is in a class of his own when it comes to literally every facet of MMA and UFC in general...wanting to fight guys after just completing a fight for example...he said no one does that and it's pretty cool, no matter how you view the guy I think. The UFC shattered every record in MSG. That's incredible, it really is. Where they go from there, who knows...

I used to be a huge Conor fan but he's turned less of the funny confident (like Sonnen/Bisping) and more into plain arrogance and he gets on my nerve not respecting a lot of things. Having said that, he's well on his way to becoming the greatest of all time. He dismantled two of the best in the world (Aldo and Alvarez) and took their titles without even getting a scratch. Amazing effort.

Romero and his corner are such cheats. Again used delaying tactics when time was called, and even the ref didn't believe him at first when he complained about the eye poke. And of course he's a drug cheat too. Also, McGregor shouldn't have even had the chance to be a double champion, because he should have been made to give up the featherweight belt by now.

McGregor won't fight again until after May next year, his wife is due around that time.

I'd still like to see him against Edgar... even though Edgar lost recently to Aldo, he came back with a good win against Stephens - and he's one of the few big FW names Conor hasn't faced/beaten.

I read that McGregor's manager is open to him pursuing WWE! That would be really interesting if it does happen. lol I doubt it will though.

So Daniel Cormier torn his abductor muscle and has a hernia, he's out of his fight with Rumble.

McGregor has now been stripped of the FW title.
It's messy - very messy. Pettis/Holloway for the undisputed title? Not sure I see it...

How do they salvage this? I for one have no idea...

I don't understand what the point of letting McGregor do this was if they were just going to strip him of the FW after two weeks anyway. I mean yeah he should have been forced to defend the belt months ago but still it doesn't make any sense when THEY let this happen.
Just wait, a year from now they'll be selling a McGregor FW title fight based around him "Regaining the belt he never lost". And McGregor will continue to make the company his bitch over and over again. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
McGregor/UFC are starting to look like Vince/HBK circa 96-97 more and more everyday.

Kyle Noke retired. Did you hear about that Chris?

Kyle Noke retired. Did you hear about that Chris? So that means I was live seeing the last fights of Kyle Noke and Anthony Perosh. Poor Aussies. Man the place erupted when Robert Whittaker got the win. I was rooting for him (though I like Brunson too), but I expected Brunson to win violently. What an awesome thing to see live. I went to the weigh ins the day before and got to meet Miesha Tate, Big Nog, Ross Pearson and Dan Hardy as well.

...I respect the hell out of Aldo - but if (as he's said) he's retiring and not wanting to fight, then shouldn't the Holloway/Pettis fight be for the "full" FW title?

McGregor has now been stripped of the FW title. It's messy - very messy. Pettis/Holloway for the undisputed title? Not sure I see it... ESPN reported yesterday that Connor reliquished the title and opted to compete in the lightweight division. WTF?! I agree McGregor needs to defend the FW belt and I would go as far as having UFC set a date that he has to fight by. But to just outright strip him....total BS to treat THE top guy in the UFC.

Yeah, I agree. When I posted that it was still very early in the proceedings, because the thinking behind Aldo, Pettis and Holloway in the mix was just a deluge of information that didn't make sense...
